Stress Test/myocardial perfusion scan Results
Good afternoon, I had my tests carried out in Feb and despite being told I would receive the results in 2 weeks I have only just been sent them. The consultant has not written to me with his conclusions yet and I am not being seen until July. My GP is happy to have a look at it but my appointment is

Meds after spinal fusion
My fusion was 11 weeks ago and I still need an occasional dose of my prescription medication. I have heard that otc meds such as aleve and ibuprofen can interfere with bone grafting, so I have been avoiding them. Surgeon said the otc's were okay to take at this point but I would rather wait until I

Spinal fusion question
Hi. My adult daughter anterior had L5/S1 spinal fusion surgery with instrumentation 3 months ago for excruciating and longstanding pain from a prolapsed disc. She has made fantastic progress and is practically pain free. However she had her 3 month appointment today and after Xray the Consultant said

Recurrent Ovarian Cancer
On Feb 4th, she developed extreme shortness of breath, and we went to ER, where they took Xray which showed almost 75% of both the lungs are shadowed/fluid accumulation/
Pleural
effusion
(only 25% of the left lung is visible in the Xray). Doctor is suspecting a relapse.

Pleura effusion
Morning all, I’ve got a
pleural
effusion
on my right lung. It was partially drained on Thursday via pleura tap and I’ll go again Monday to drain more. In a week or so I’m due to start weekly taxol with bevacizumab every 2 weeks. Has anyone had a similar issue?

Has anyone with ischemic heart had chemo with docetaxel?
It looks like I have an ischemic heart, which was diagnosed with a nuclear perfusion test. I don't feel pain frequently and I can exercise at a moderate pace without a problem. I do occasionally feel some sharp pain in my chest. My MO wants to start me on Docetaxel in a week. Has anyone with ischemic

DTPA results
Hello lovely people! I finally got my DTPA results! It seems good but there's something I don't understand. I know it's the nephrologist's job to do that and I'm going to ask him next week. But I was hoping I could understand and know my GFR based on the results. I just looked at a few DTPA reports

Rate related LBBB & Bisoprolol
Hi all, I was diagnosed last year with rate related left bundle branch block after some strange sensations in my upper chest when working out in the gym. I’m 43 years old and apparently healthy on all other fronts, heart all good in other areas and no history of high blood pressure, but to run checks

First appointment with rheumatologist
I have painful joints, fatigue and a
pleural
effusion
and I continue to work which is immense effort at the moment as I’m so tired. He said he’ll keep a watchful eye and then if it gets more aggressive will consider treatment.

why would I need a Myocardial Perfusion Scan
Referred to Cardiology by doctors and other consultants because of signs/symptoms, finally told at Cardiology absolutely nothing wrong with my heart so why have I been referred for a Myocardial Perfusion Scan if nothing at all wrong.
