Bone marrow transplant
Hi all I have just started on blood transfusion and likely to have to have them every four/five weeks. It has also been suggested that I may be eligible for a bone marrow transplant. Does anyone have any thoughts on bone marrow transplants that they could share with me. TIA

Can APS come and go, like having lupus flair ups?
Between 2005 and 2008 I had multiple PEs, multiple DVTs and multiple TIAs, in fact I've just discovered that the TIAs I had in 2007 were more than just TIAs as the brain MRI showed multiple lesions in multiple lobes. Between 2009-2011 I was doing much better, no symptoms of DVTs or PEs etc and my overall

Ferritin tips or tricks?
I can't seem to keep my ferritin up! It's so frustrating to see my labs bounce around between 25 and 35 and never get any higher. The problem is I have heavy menstrual loss each month. I can't get on any sort of birth control because I'm trying to get pregnant, and I have already had surgery to see if

Feeling Hopeless
I'm a 32 year old male (of northern European descent [british/welsh?]) in the United States. I was diagnosed with pernicious anemia (intrinsic factor antibody) a few months back. This is after a couple years of dipping down into low B12 territory, and going as far as having a hospital stay / blood transfusion

AIHA and ITP
I just started treatment with Rituxan and Bendeka for my CLL. After the first treatment I had to have 4 blood transfusions and started on high dose steroids for my low RBC and Platelet count. My Oncologist/hematologist said I have developed AIHA and ITP. I am not stable enough for splenectomy but that

Living with sickle cell trait
Hello, my name is Lory I am a 23 year old woman. In high school I played 3 sports. As I begin to run track I started to get very fatigued, have joint pains and always dizzy. I thought it was because it was super hot on the field. By the time junior year came, I was no longer a runner, strictly high jumper
