A True Angel Story-My Own Experience, Hope This Brings You Comfort!
On December 25th, Christmas Day, 1991, my parents and I were traveling home to Phoenix from visiting relatives for the Holidays in California. I was 6 years old and was not wearing a seat belt. All of a sudden, a U Haul slammed into us going about 70 mph on the freeway near Santa Ana. The U Haul hit

Blood transfusion with PV
As a precautionary measure before having an endoscopy I was asked if I was OK to have a blood transfusion. I presume having PV does not preclude me ?

Erythropoietin injections
Does anyone have experience or advice about erythropoietin injections? My husband has post PV Myelofibrosis and is taking Ruxolitinib. His hgb is drifting down -his haematologist does not think it’s caused by the Ruxolitinib but due to disease progression ( white cells are drifting up and platelets

What to do... VBAC or C-section?
With my first baby in 2017, I had an induction due to PROM at term but didn't go into labour... I got to 5cm and ended up with a cat 2 emergency c section (GA) due to maternal sepsis and fetal distress. It was horrendous, I was in 8 nights, me and baby on antibiotics, 2 blood transfusions, 3 catheters

Chemo treatment/What happens after chemo?
Hello all. I hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted to give everyone an update on my husband. I had to take mike to the emergency room Sunday afternoon because he was having shortness of breath and thought his hemoglobin might have been low and he might need a blood transfusion (he’s already had 3)

63 with NASH f2 mild cirrhosis
I was found to have hep c from a transfusion in 1980. We cleared that 4 years ago but I am left with Nash stage 2 fibrosis and mild cirrhosis. Not one of my doctors seems the least concerned. Even my gastroenterologist. I also suffer with ibs-d and depression. My husband doesn't have a clue about nutrition

GERD or not GERD that is the question?
Well five weeks on from shoulder joint replacement op on Christmas Day (!), following fall on 19th December I am starting to slowly see some small improvement. Bowels problems eliminated since stopping copious continued pain meds. What is still troubling me is my stomach. On my second day in hospital

Peripheral neuropathy....do your feet peel? Mine do.
Hi! From SE Alabama! I saw someone from Alanta? The weather down here in te deep south has been crazy... anyway, I've been lurking around, reading and gleaning all of your thoughts, stories, theories. Seems we all have to become true detectives once you fall down this rabbit hole of peripheral neuropathy

Blood Transfusions in Private Hospitals
Hi all, I was recently diagnosed with Hepatitis C and have been attempting to understand how I contracted it. I had heart surgery in 1986 and this appears the most probable cause. I have been able to find out that it is 'very likely' that I was given blood during the surgery, but formal records from

Response with Lu PSMA 's first cycle for my father.
Hello Everyone, I hope you all are slaying the big C each moment and emerging fitter and better by the day. Since i took your feedback and opinion on the LU-PSMA trial for my father, before initiating. I must write an update on his response to the treatment too. So Great news and bad news - both. He

Update on PARP inhibitors
Background 2018 started off brightly. After 6 cycles of docetaxal PSA went from 47 to 1.8 (May 2018). But once the soft stuff was gone, PCa started progressing again and was back to 4.6 after Cycle 9 (June 2018). MO cancelled Cycle 10 and put me on Enzalutamide. 3 months later PSA had risen to 15.1
