Worst few days of my life.
Recently my father had been unwell at first he was told it was a virus however as it progressed he backs increasingly weak eventually we were advised to take him to hospital where it was discovered he had low platelets. He had been anemic as well as diabetic for over 20 years he had a blood transfusion

Niraparib
After my blood transfusion of 1 unit I felt really good, last week my Haemoglobin was up at 92. They dropped the dose of Niraparib down to 2 x 100mg, sadly a week later my Haemoglobin is down to 84, they want to see me next week and if it has dropped anymore, will arrange another transfusion and drop

A message from hospital bed!!
Hi guys, thanks for you messages, and concerns. Sorry for lack of posts. Quick update. I'm getting on OK. My new liver is functioning wonderfully🤩, but my pain and issues with my haemoglobin have meant energy and strength are not the best. I've had two blood transfusions, and I'm currently getting

I had 1.5 mil platelets and now they are 645K
I am new here. Great board, great posts, great people.13 Years ago (2003) my platelets progressed to 1.5 mil in about a year. Dr. suspected ET but couldn't confirm, bone marrow test was inconclusive, as he said. He suggested hydrea, I refused. I even don't take a baby aspirin as told because it gives

We got the answer, but not what anyone wants to hear.
This is going to be my last time I post here. I did spend 2weeks in the hospital. During that time my blood levels were hard to get and stay level. So many transfusions. They called in Dr Ignatius hematologist oncologist. I had a bone marrow biopsy done. I have 2 very different cancers. The first one

Haemoglobin
Just wondering if anyone else has a low haemoglobin, in December when I was in hospital it was way down in the low 60's and I was possibly needing a blood transfusion, luckily for me it's up at 84 just now which is still low but long term it's also better for me as a transfusion can make it a little

VENETOCLAX
Just wondered how many of you about there are on VENETOCLAX? My husband was started on this med and was ramped up just before the increase to 200mg when he had Tumor Lysis. Was hospitalized and all labs came drastically down and into almost normal levels. He feels much better as was extremely fatigued

Blood Transfusion
Hello Ladies - Unfortunately Niraparib has caused my Haemoglobin to fall, I am due to have a blood transfusion tomorrow so that I can hopefully resume Niraparib next week. If any one can answer the following I would be very grateful. Can my husband stay with me? do you get fed?

Time to start taking liver health seriously?
Hi Everyone, I sadly lost my dad early December 2019 to End-stage Liver Disease and every day since has felt like a strenous battle. He was 56 years young; which is no age at all for someone so ambitious and dedicated to life, work and family. He was diagnosed with Non-alcoholic related Cirrhosis in

Unisom for sleep after returning to afib
I messed up had an ablation set for last October and after discussing with my EP one of the very best in the US. Decided to hold off as I had only two "known" bouts of AFIB in 5 years and both could have been tied to being almost without potassium ( needed 3 transfusions to get me to normal level the

Post by MPN-MATE Admin » Wed Jan 29, 2020 10:14 am Hey all... :D I simply found this an optimistic and encouraging from the perspective of MF sufferers, and especially if & when their Ruxolitinib (aka Jakafi), loses some of its efficacy, which it tends to do after circa 3.2 years... It talks a little
