How much damage can we expect
My mum had a heart attack and had two stents put in in 2006. Also with angina over a week ago she started to become breathless until 7 days later she could not talk. A GP rang an ambulance immediately. Her legs are now filled with fluid and docs have said there is significant damage to the artery walls

Does anybody here take Isosorbide Mononitrate 60 mg twice a day ?
Had a 3 X CABG 7 years ago, I’m now a 64 years old, male. Everything since then has been fine, until recently, as I've now started to get angina attacks in the early mornings whilst asleep, and if I exert myself (like walking to the shops). I had to go to A&E when using my GTN spray did not work on

Hubby on statins following HA and stent fitted three years ago. Has been experiencing for last three months really bad thigh muscle pain and cramping. Reading the medical leaflet with his statin wondering if this is a side effect. He is on Rosuvastatin having been switched from Atorvorstatin about 18

Failed CABG
Hi all. So just over two years ago I had a double CABG. I required a graft to my LAD and OM2 artories. Over the last 6 months I have been having some angina-like pains and have just had the results from a cardio CT scan which shows my OM2 graft has failed. However, the cardiologist reckons that this

Follow ups at local hospital after stent
Hi I had a stent fitted at St Thomas' London. Its been 6 months. I've had a telephone appointment with the cardiology team since. They have now booked me a ecg at St Thomas. I was wonder if anyone has transferred their care back to their local hospital. It's a long train journey to go just for an ecg

Hi all I’ve been for a stress test today on the treadmill and the same happened as it did the other day when I tried to go for my first hill walk on the local hills by us. I started off fine but as the gradient increased my heart rate obviously increased but the rate wasn’t massive around 110 the problem

Life Insurance
I am 40 years old and have a stent, which was fitted in 2015. I am now fit, healthy and had no issues since . Due to having a mortgage I have always had life insurance, unfortunately I have always done it for 10 year terms. My current insurance is coming to an end so looking to renew. A simple comparison

Running Fitness post angiogram
Hello. Two weeks ago I was half way through a marathon training schedule, as I have been for the last 12 years during Feb/March. However, I had to have an angiogram last week because of intermittent chest pain and “potential” stenosis revealed on a CT scan. No stent was needed as the flow was 97%. For

Does the anxiety ever go away?
Hello everyone, I hope you are having a good weekend. It is now nearly 12 months since I had my heart attack and my CABG x 4. . The road has been bumpy since then.
