More angina when walking
Hi all, I've started to get angina again when I walk and I'm worried my artery is blocking again. Just as a quick background had stent Oct 2021 for 99% blockage LAD artery. My symptoms were pain on walking. Pains never went away and in fact got much worse. November 21 had another stent for 99% blockage

Not sure and nervous about using GTN spray
I had my heart attack on 26th and stent fitted. Surprisingly feel absolutely fine , but occasionally get a ‘gentle’ discomfort in the middle of my chest which doesn’t immediately go and am not sure whether to use GTN or not. Any advice on who it is best to ask regarding this as it’s a bank holiday ?

Unusual odour
Good evening , i need to ask if anyone since going on medication seems to have a sense of an odour as my wife disclosed to me she has smelt it too on me. I had a heart attack in October and despite being fairy fit and having a healthy diet also no heart issues in my family i had this mild heart attack

Home from hospital after heart attack
Short version of my story is that on Xmas evening I had a heart attack. I had to be resuscitated twice. In the ambulance and again at the hospital while they were inserting the stent. During various echo and ct scans they found a couple of abnormalities unrelated to what happened. Issues with the valves

Got some cholesterol readings, I don’t quite understand them.
Hi all, I had a blood test this week for liver function and the results included a cholesterol read out. The GP surgery sent me a text to say all the readings were normal. Trouble is I’m 4 months or so post quadruple CABG following Nstemi heart attack in July, am I considered normal on the same scale

Hi, I had a heart attack 28 months ago and 3 stents in my LAD. Very surprising but not totally unexpected as despite having no risk factors bar genetics , loads of my family had heart attacks so I always thought I’d get one eventually, though not at age 66. I’m doing ok but struggle emotionally to feel

Sternum discomfort
I had a CABG x 3 in July and am recovering well. My main problem is the discomfort/pain where my sternum was wired up. The main problem is at the bottom of my scar. I have lost weight so not much padding, I wondered if this will get better as time goes on. It is uncomfortable mostly when trying to

Long-term health of bypass grafts.
Hi, Feel slightly fraudulent as I’m fit and healthy, after a bypass in 2016, but I’m just curious for any insights / opinions re one niggling question. I do fairly intense cardio every other day (mostly) and my BMI’s at the top end of normal. For my age - 61 - I’m fairly fit. My question is: do those

Risk of stroke after stent
Following HA in 2020, due to blocked RCA, Cardio interventionists tried to insert stent in 2020 but this procedure was unsuccessful. However, two cardio interventionists (at the same time) are going to try again early next year. The procedural risk includes 1:100 chance of a stroke. Generally, my condition

Can a stent reblock?
Hi everyone in September 2020 I had one stent fitted in my main LAD artery which was 75% blocked. Ive been on Ticagrelor, Aspirin and Atorvastatin ever since. I feel great, exercising, eating as healthily as I can (albeit not as strict as I was in the beginning). My question is Ive started to worry

PAD after Pmr
Hi, I just wanted to share what's going on as I've been so worried and upset. I know I've no right to be, I'm fine compared with many of you, but...So I've nearly come to the end of my Pmr...although I don't like saying it in case I jinx it and it flares! I'm on .0.5 pred, and feel fine apart from being

CABG and Memory loss
Hi, it's six week since my triple bypass. My scar is healing well and I'm slowly recovering from the surgery. Two things concern me, my legs are still painfully swollen and causing discomfort the other is my short term memory is shot, I'd laugh at my forgetfulness but I'm beginning to find it scary.
