Lisinopril
I had a heart attack in 2005 and a stent fitted in my right coronary artery. At the time I was put on 2.5 mg bisoprolol, 2.5mg lisinopril, 75mg apirin and 40 mg simvastatin . I am now 69 years old. I dropped the lisinopril about 5 years ago as my BP was not an issue and my GP thought it may be contributing

Blood thinners
I had one anuerysm repaired. 6 coils and a stent. in June this year, (I still have another). I'm still on aspirin and clopidogrel every day, I have now been diagnosed with breast cancer needing a lumpectomy! The op cant be done until I'm off the clopidogrel. Question is, how long have people been on

Still getting “twinges” and discomfort after four months. Stent to LAD.
I have been up and down. After my last post really got into walking and felt good as new for about 5 weeks. Then started getting discomfort in chest while resting. Nothing really painful but thought I had got through that stage? Stress seems to bring it on? Again doesn’t get worse on exertion, managed

Statins and PAF meds ... should I worry?
Hi, Wife has just had her annual blood test from GP which shows her cholesterol level as 5.4 mmol/L. This has been flagged as borderline and GP has recommended she goes on statins. She suffers from PAF, but has had no noticeable events since last August when they upped her Bisoprolol following a stay

Hello, I'm new here!
Hi Everyone. Haven't properly introduced myself, how rude! I'm enjoying this forum, as it seems to be so upbeat, which is truly welcome. Newly diagnosed with Coronary Heart Disease, had whopper of a heart attack in September which went undiagnosed, 'cos I'm a woman and that seems to be what happens

Numb Thigh After Heart Bypass
Hi All, Bit odd this but after undergoing a double CABG a month ago I have noticed that my right thigh is partially numb with a reduced ability to feel anything (very similar to the left side of my chest which I was expecting). I didn't have any blood vessels harvested from my legs so it's not due to

Blockage
I recently had a heart attack, and apparently my artery is completely blocked. Being treated with medication. Isit still possible to have a stent after several months?

Stomach bleed following heart medication
Hello all, me again - my mother had the very painful arm following the stent procedure. That has (somewhat)settled down after four weeks. On Saturday she started passing black stools and was taken to hospital with a stomach bleed. She had a blood transfusion yesterday. Waiting for an endoscopy today.

Fast heartbeat after triple CABG
I seem to be experiencing a really powerful fast heartbeat, I'm one week on from a triple bypass last Monday and was sent home Friday. I can't seem to slow it down, my booklet says if it lasts more than 2 hours then see my GP. Is this normal? I'm terrified it's not going to stop? Advice on how to slow

Severe arm pain following stent procedure
Dear all, I have just joined this forum. My mother had a mild heart attack three weeks ago tonight. She had a stent put in and all was OK but then two days after she came home from hospital, she developed a severe pain in the arm where the stent was inserted. I am not sure why they did not use the groin
