My story (very resumed!) and maybe you can help with something?
Hello! I'm suffering from, even though I wasn't diagnosed, what I think is IBS-C. It all begun when at the same time that my life changed: I started new job, I moved to a busy city (London) I started a new relationship, and all of this reflected in my diet and lifestyle. My water intake decreased

Flecainide failed after 8 months
Well, I was doing quite well with Flecainide but a few days ago my heart woke me up at 3 AM thumping and skipping beats. I took extra pill but it didn't help. AF continued the whole day and never stopped after that - 4 full days now, although it is not with devastating symptoms like a year ago that

High platelets and Eliquis
I am confused because my platelets are high which I understand is likely to cause blot clots and I an on Eliquis which I thought prevented blood clots. It seems to me this is a contridiction. Can someone explain this or should I ask my EP to stop Eliquis? Thank you.

Waves of Cold Going Through My Heart
I am almost 6 months post cryoablation and am only taking Eliquis. I also have a loop recorder implanted in October. For the past 6-7 weeks, I have been having short waves of icy cold in the middle of my chest. It comes and goes quickly - only seconds. But it does it all day long. There is no pain associated

Antiplatelet vs anticoagulant therepy
Just began taking Eliquis (anticoagulant) for Afib. As a result was told to stop Plavix (antiplatelet) and 81 mg aspirin. Plavix had stopped migranes in the past. My question: Are migranes likely to reoccur?

Tips on dealing with IBS flare ups? FODMAP tips?
I'm nearly 19 and I've had IBS type M (goes from diarrhea to constipation then settles down eventually) for about a year. To deal with it I had taken mebeverine which didnt do much, biupspen and peppermint oil that help a bit better and have gone gluten free/ wheat free. For the past month or so I've

In search of opinions
Hey all, I am 20 years old. I got food poisoning from a juice cleanse about a year and a half agao and have been fighting IBS ever since. It is definitely hard to come to terms with. I have improved it a lot through trial and error (and many painful mistakes). I also went toward functional medicine and

New to this and struggling alot!
Hi I'm 25 and in the last few months my IBS has become very bad! I think it's been there for about a year but not it's gotten to a point where it's ruining my life and I'm fed up. I'm scared to eat. I don't ever eat anymore if I'm going out or going on a date or anything social :( I'm a young woman and

Totally without scientific proof!
I started using essential oils to make up a rub for my sore knees (injury now passed) then progressed to using them in a burner for nice smells in the wintertime. I've found if I use peppermint oil in the burner it feels as if I've just eaten something pepperminty rather than making me want to eat something

Stomach pain with muscle discomfort
Hi there, for the last 4 months I've had stomach pain(right between ribs mostly after eating)with muscle discomfort in upper and lower back. Both symptoms come and go, sometimes I feel good for a couple days then it's back. The discomfort can last for hrs. Naturopath treated me with candida supplements

How many afibs a minute are bad?
I can't find any data on frequency of AFIB. My attack started at 10 p.m. and it would be 6 heart beats, skip, 2 heart beats, skip, 2 heart beats, skip, 2 heart beats, skip, (3 times) and then back to 6 heart beats. It is too irritating to allow sleep and it is now 5 a.m.. I'm exhausted. I have taken

Not Happy!
I had my first episode of A fib 20 months ago after drinking coffee by mistake ( I am excessively sensitive to caffeine). It was cardioverted successfully. I havent been taking anticoagulants but now understand I probably should. (I have been waiting for the next episode to convince me that it is a problem

Done with meds! Except my NOAC
I have just finished reading posts from a year ago, and recent ones also. Have been on here several months and love the input and information I have obtained. Currently I am on metoprolol and eliquis, water pill, mag supplements and potassium. I am convinced I have vagal afib and metoprolol needs to

Help! Medicine I can use for common cold?
Oh boy, just came down with a head cold on Friday. It's getting bad with running nose, head congestion and now coughing. Can anyone tell me what's safe to take. I had a cryoblation done on July 21, 2016 and am only taking Eliquis. I'm terrified of going back into afib by taking some cold medication,

Starting to worry..
I had a tooth extracted 2 weeks ago. I was taking ibuprofen and aleve for about a week. I don't usually take either one of those. Since I took them I've been having stomach pain, darker stools and feeling like I can't take a full breath. I also feel a lot weaker. I have tried pepto bismol and not much

I'm new here, just diagnosed last month
I started having an accelerated heart beat on July 1st. It happened while watching TV about once a week. My normal resting heart rate is around 75 bpm. Mine would go from 100-150 bpm. I always new when it started and when it stopped. I wasn't in pain but I felt different. So I called a cardiologist
