WATCHMAN Inplant
Has anyone had the WATCHMAN Inplant? I’m 71, have Afib and I’m having problems taking 2.5 mg of Eliquis twice a day.. I’m wondering if there are risks involved with the procedure and if it’s worth it to have it done. Thanks.

What is AF Burden about?
I had a mild stroke in 2021, was discharged in 3 days w/ zero deficts. Discharge papers said the AF burden was 18%. Began Eliquis. Now, 2023, AF burden is 9 %. What reduced the burden and what does it mean?

why a stress test?
Been a while cause all has been “quiet.” I have been taking Flecainide 50 twice a day, Eliquis 5 twice a day, metoprolol 15 in am and 12.5 in evening. It’s been a year. Occasional blip but nothing to talk about really. I’m 66, female, and exercise aerobically 4-5 times a week. Sleep and eat well, work

Thanks for your earlier support for my 1st ablation. But now more questions.
I had my catheter ablation for Afib Dec. 30th. I went in with NSR, succesful ablation according to my Surgeon, and woke up in NSR. Yay!! Not so fast. In just 2 days I was walking around and doing light work, Yay! But here's the thing, on Jan. 7 at 6pm I went into Afib and it has continued even

Blood clot and kidney
Had a CT scan and found out that I have a blood clot in my lungs and cancer in my right kidney. All was great on the last scan. Now this!! Dr ordered Eliquis , which Medicare will not cover and because I do have Medicare I don’t quaify for any assistance. Walgreens wants $850 to pick it up. That’s

Watchman Device
I had my third ablation on August 4, 2022, with the left atrial appendage isolated. EP recommends a Watchman device because the clotting risk is now increased. I have been taking Eliquis since my diagnosis. I would like to hear from anyone who has had the LAA isolation and if a Watchman device

IBS and auto immune disease Rheumatoid Arthritis
I heard that people with RA can be prone to IBS. Stress is my trigger but it could be the RA meds I'm on.. I use immoduim, peppermint oil and try to relax. A few months ago my GP ran tests and all came back clear. I've had it on and off for many years but just now it's pretty bad. Just started CBT

Amazed!
After 30 years of living with the affects of radiotherapy I found this community after a Google search for remedies after the doctor only advised imodium. I have found it to be a very emotional discovery as I didn'teven know PRD was a thing! Has anyone tried peppermint oil tablets? Do they help

Silent AFib
Silent Arterial Fibrillation in a73 year old male with a normal heart rate (between 75-85 generally). Unfortunately it's permanent! Seeking advice from others in this same boat for thoughts of what to do or what they are doing/planning on as a treatment ? One specialist say Ablation. The next

IBS - awaiting diagnosis
In my 50s and have probably had IBS type symptoms for years but not at a significant level, so never seen a GP. Having had a couple of more severe bouts recently, lasting a few weeks each, including some smears of blood on stools on two occasions earlier in the summer , I went to the GP. Been through

cardiac ablation
my cardiologist had recommended an ablation a year ago but I choose to wait. I’ve had very few episodes on Flecinide and Eliquis. Now he’s saying my heart rate is getting too low and we need to revisit having the ablation. I’m looking for feedback from those who have had the procedure.

Switching from Rivaroxaban (Xarelto) to Apixaban (Eliquis)
I am switching my DOAC from Xarelto to Eliquis, mainly for ease of compliance. My eclectic eating schedule/habits made it difficult to rigidly comply with the rather bizarre dosing regimen for Xarelto, and the morning/evening dosing of Eliquis will be much more convenient, hopefully leading to more

My Experience With WARFARIN and ELIQUIS
Warfarin for 27 months and friends noticed my coloring was pale. Nearly passed out walking to car in a large parking lot. Had lab draw blood next day, and CBC revealed RED BLOOD CELL COUNT down to 5.8. Supposed to be 13. I was bleeding internally somewhere. Hospitalized and given transfusions and an

I added Mucinex to my list of DO NOT TAKE over the counter meds.
Well, I finally got IT... yes, covid. My husband came home with it and four days later I came down with it. I was trying to get ahead of it by taking Mucinex the second night so I could prevent it spreading into my lungs as much as possible. My whole body jerked and thrashed all night long plus I

Eliquis and CBD gummy’s
I am taking 5 mg of Eliquis two times a day. I started taking 20 mg of CBD Gummies which has helped my mood and pain immensely. I did some research and read that you should not take CBD with Eliquis as it can be very dangerous causing an overdose of Eliquis. Has anyone here tried taking CBD with Eliquis

Hi, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis 18yrs ago. It’s now in remission but I still struggle with my stomach. Was told about a year ago it’s IBS. Mornings are the worse, go about 3-5 times a day, urgency & I can’t hold it. Been on meds, tried Fodmap- this helped abit but then found it hard reintroducing

My wife and I both got covid
Being very careful, wearing masks all the time except a few times when we went out to eat and took off only to eat. Sadly we got covid. I called my Specialist's office and was prescribed Paxlovid. Had to stop my Calquence for the 5 days while taking paxlovid and was taking 5mg Eliquis that they reduced

orthostatic hypertension - how do you deal with this?
I have ortho. hypertension and my bp drops about 20 systolic from lying down (say 120), to sitting (100) and standing 80. This effects my heart rate from low to high. When standing, I am too dizzy to walk so obviously can not get the excersize I need. Take Eliquis for AFIB. Any suggestions.

Afib and eliquis
I was diagnosed with afib two years ago, one year into retirement. It's been an experience! Am currently on eliquis after not being able to tolerate pradaxa. So far so good... Have to be careful not to gain weight. Follow a 6/18 schedule.
