Do I need to go back on Thyroxine?
Just a heads up folks, this is going to be a long post! I have been off thyroxine for just over a year now, I will attempt to explain in a long winded way how this came about. I was put on thyroxine when I went into menopause which happened before I was 50 (I am now 62). I have always been on 50mg,

Viatris 5mcg liothyronine feedback please from NHS
Hi. Has anyone taken Viatris 5mcg liothyronine T3. Or can you compare with other liothyronine 5mcg brands. My sister has just been prescribed T3 alongside her usual levothyroxine T4 medication privately as her latest T3 results was low (24%) But a huge surprise was that her NHS GP gave her a liothyronine

Cortisol test
Result of morning cortisal test was 131 which is rubbish (range 102-535) and explains why I feel exhausted some days. Have been on 3mg for several weeks. Looks like it’s a Synacthen test next. Thanks PMRpro for the info on that. Is the experience ok anyone out there who’s had one?

Fatigue after eating
Husband is getting very sleepy after all meals. His sugar is always below 100 when tested, he takes levothyroxine for low thyroid (waiting for over 2 weeks now on latest blood work and TSH results from PCP. *sigh* He's taking a statin (can't remember the name) and Tamsulosin. Current cancer treatment

hi can you tell me how much Levothyroxine I should be on for my weight please as I have been told by a thyroid group I belong too that I’m on too low a dose and not optimal. I also have constant aches and pains. I weigh 95.80kg and at the moment I take 75mcg of Levothyroxine and 10mcg daily of Liothyronine

I’m taking a private prescription for the lio but am attempting an IFR with the NHS as I don’t think 5 is enough and it’s too expensive for me to buy. Magnesium as ozonated magnesium oxides
Hello again. Slow Dragon said that there needs to be 4 hours after T4 or T3 before taking Magnesium. I take magnesium from ozonated magnesium oxides with 3% potassium before bed to help with any constipation that still lingers a little. I asked the company about their product and they said they don't

Thybon v Teva T3
I am changing over from Teva T3 to Thybon T3. I am taking 15 mcg divided into 3 daily doses. I am awaiting a Levo prescription to 'add in', as I have had to stop taking ThyroidS NDT due to 'toxicity' type symptoms. (I have other health issues going on at the moment). Not sure whether the Levo will be

Purchasing T3.
Hi everyone - hope everyone enjoying this sunny if windy day 😊. I posted my thyroid test results on yesterday and the replies came back stating I don't convert very well from FT4 to FT3, that has basically been the case for a long time. I recently had a conversation with GP who advised me my cholestrol

How to choose doctor
Hi. I’m thinking of going private to get treated for Hashimoto’s but I’m not sure whether to and if so who to go to. I was self medicating with T3 but was told that my heart attack in January was down to taking too much. I’ve since come off it and feel awful. I don’t know whether to go back to

advice please- protein shakes
I know we shouldn’t take other tablets or vitamins close to thyroxine, but is a meal replacement shake made from pea protein okay to drink an hour after thyroxine? is that different to vitamins as it’s food? Also, do we really have to avoid soya? I can’t have diary and most other protein shakes
