Returning to sinus rhythm
I have paroxysmal afib and usually go back to sinus rhythm within 20 hours maximum. This time I’m halfway through second day. Rates are not particularly high but go high if I do much. What do others do while waiting to reset? I know that progression is likely to mean more episodes like this. My normal

UK Government announce that supplies of Molnupiravir and Ritonavir against Covid 19 have been secured.
Thousands of vulnerable patients could be taking ground-breaking COVID-19 antivirals this winter after the government announced deals to secure 2 new treatments. These treatments should speed up recovery time for COVID-19 patients and the most vulnerable will be eligible first, including the elderly

Could my racing heart, trembling and energy rushes be linked to AF?
I suffer from paroxysmal AF and ectopic beats, but occasionally get a racing heart (fast (150), but regular), accompanied with an energy rush, need to urinate and trembling - does anyone else experience this, too? I can go for weeks without these symptoms, but, after they occur, I'm left with an increased

Back in good old AF!!
Bugger! After three weeks barring a couple of very minor relapses, I’m back in pounding AF! Started at 1.00AM and still fluttering away. This follows on from being stuck in it for eight days straight and 14 hours in A&E where they just dosed me up with Bisoprolol, checked bloods and BP etc. and packed

AF and sleep study -Cpap
I was told by the lead of he sleep study at NHS that there is a link with sleep apnea and AFib. She suggested to me that all people who suffer with AFib ask their GP to be referred for a sleep study.

Left Bundle Block complications.
Hi all. I have a friend in his 70s who has just had a pacemaker fitted for a heart arrhythmia......and been diagnosed with Left bundle block. He was absolutely fine up until recently, except he had been getting a few palpitations and then passed out briefly and hit his head on the floor. He is just

ablation - types and pacemaker
I found my way into this very helpful forum because I have experienced Afib following my 2nd ablation for supraventricular tachycardia (SVT). It seems my SVT is gone, but it might have been replaced by afib. I think afib ablation is more complex than SVT ablation, takes longer to perform and also has

Back home from Ablation
Morning all, I got home late last night from from my cryo ablation at St Barts. They gave me transport to and from as I was struggling with that aspect which was brilliant. Had a bit of an issue with low blood pressure afterwards but I do tend to suffer with fairly low blood pressure anyway. I don’t

Experience with Lynparza?
First off, thanks to all the amazing women in this community. I have learned so much about the disease and the amazing stories of courage and perseverance. Very inspiring. This is my first post, I apologize in advance if I ramble. It is my 84 year old father dealing with MBC and I am along for the ride

Pill in pocket
Look forward to comments. Seems my cardiologist wants to cover all the bases (more medications = better protection). GP agreed I should try coming off flecainide. Taking Xarelto blood thinner to be safe. Use Apple Watch and take ECG readings at every opportunity. Five days ago I went off flecainide

Medicinal experiences
Hi all Following all the recent conversations about various meds people are being prescribed I thought I would add my experiences to the mix. Might be helpful. I was diagnosed with osteopenia several years ago and put on bisphosphonates. These eventually caused a hiatus hernia so I stopped taking them

Ablation Booked
So a week on Sunday, heading into the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital for my ablation for the PAF. Not too anxious bearing in mind I had the same procedure over three years ago to fix the flutter and then three weeks later, the catheter cardioversion to fix the fibrillation triggered by the original procedure

Importance of Blood Testing
Diagnosed with afib in Feb '21, taking .50gm of metoprolol to control heart rate. Recent blood test revealed glucose increased from 100 to 140 likely caused by metoprolol. Cardiologist currently considering other medications. (prior glucose readings were always below 110). Would encourage all to

Evista to prevent recurrence of IDC?
I am 4 months after bilateral mastectomy for invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC). Have had 25 radiation treatments. Now considering Letrozole vs Tamoxifen vs Evista. Don't like the side effects of Letrozole or Tamoxifen. I favor Evista due to recent diagnosis of osteopenia. Has anyone else had experience

Non-standard Ibrance schedule
Hi everyone, Great forum and so happy I found it! I was diagnosed with MBC in my liver last summer, 19+ years after initial diagnosis Stage IIB, bilateral mastectomy, chemo, and radiation. WTF??? I had surgery to remove tumor and have no other mets that they can find . Anyway, started Ibrance in October

Why continue warfarin?
Will I be okay to go off warfarin and switch back to taking 2 low dose aspirin daily? My cardiologist just shrugged and said he can't make me continue warfarin. I believe my diagnosis of AFib was erroneous.
