pericarditis post Cryoblation for ongoing Atrial Fibrillation and benefits
hi I have
paroxysmal
atrial
fibrillation
I had a cryoblation in march and got pericarditis shortly afterwards. I’m still having shorter bursts of afib with +170bpm HR.

Hay fever with Paroxysmal AF
I currently take 1.25 of Bisoprolol & 2mg of Candestartan for high blood pressure and
paroxysmal
atrial
fibrillation
. Can I safely take hay fever tablets? The pharmacist has said that there's no reactions between the tablets but I'd rather ask on here. TIA x

I have
paroxysmal
atrial
fibrillation
and have been told I need an ablation. Unfortunately, I am a poor metabolizer of most medications, especially those I would need to take in order to have the ablation, i.e. blood thinners, medications for rate control, rhythm control and blood pressure.

5 Year Anniversary of PVI Cryo-Ablation for PAF
Today, the 21st of August, marks the 5 year anniversary of the PVI cryo-ablation procedure I had for
paroxysmal
atrial
fibrillation
(PAF). Happily, the results of the ablation far exceeded my expectations. I have been completely free of AFib since the procedure.

Atrial Fibrilation and dark chocolate
My appointment this week confirmed I have
Paroxysmal
Atrial

, not flutter, as first thought.

Measuring force of heart beats?
Hi. I'm Amelia. New here. Age 63. Paroxysmal AFib since at least 2015. Dx in 2018. Rx Metoprolol. Question: is there any way of measuring the force of your irregular heartbeats? Just wondering if that could explain the difference between people who don't feel their Afib and people that feel all of it

12 month blanking period. Long post
It's just about 12 months since my ablation and it's been a crazy ride but I'm now a month without any detected afib and 2 weeks fully off Flecainide.I'm not counting my chickens yet but here's my story to hopefully give hope to people on this forum. Happy to answer any questions people may have on the

Bisoprolol
HiOn 1.25mg bisoprolol for heart failure also have LVSD, AFib and had AV node ablation and pacemaker. My pacemaker is set 70bpm hr so doesn't really go any higher than this and I believe the purpose of bisoprolol is to lower heart rate, so the question is why do I need bisoprolol when my heart rate is

Is coping with arrhythmia... "strong" or "weak"?
I posted the following in a different thread, edited a little for this post to make more sense. I felt some might not have read it there and might be interested in replying. I wonder what others' views are on "being strong" when faced with illness, well - arrhythmias in our case (for some daily, maybe

Symptoms after cardioversion
It's nearly two weeks since I had a successful cardioversion after being in permanent AF following an ablation ten weeks ago. I'm on 5m bisprolol and 200mg amiodarone daily. I'm feeling much better for being in NSR and able to do a lot more (I was very symptomatic in AF). I do still get slightly breathless

Side Effects or Arrhythmia?
How do you discern what is a side effect of a new med vs a side effect of arrhythmia? I feel absolutely terrible. I feel like I am 100 years old, am fatigued, feel super lethargic, and short of breath with exertion. My legs ache. I can't sleep. I feel super, super worn down and just physically unwell

afib and antidepressants
I am thinking of going back on antidepressants. I have had two catheter ablations for afib with my last one being one year ago. I am experiencing ectopics now and may need to go back on Sotalol if I drop back into afib. Is it safe to take antidepressants with Sotalol or other anti-arrhythmics?

More questions
First question: I had an episode of atrial fibrillation Friday morning. Usually, when I have an episode, I feel normal after it stops. I took a flecainide and it stopped after a couple of hours, but I felt bad the rest of the day - as if I were still in afib, without the pounding heart. I took a couple

Support please 🙏
At my wits end now. Hoping to get a little reassurance from this amazing group of people. I had a catheter ablation on 16th May first one and have now developed atrial flutter. Which I understand can be common. I have had 2 cardioversions in the last 10 days which both lasted 24 and 48 hours. I'm back

Lightheadedness after AFib episode
A few weeks ago I posted about not being given any medication to shorten my AFib attacks and received many useful replies. Thank you all.. Since then I have sent my ECG readings to my cardiologist and 2 weeks ago I was started on 50 mg Flecanide twice a day with instructions to take another 50 mg one

Anti-arrhythmics and NeuroPsychiatric Symptoms
Anyone have experience with the antiarrhythmics and neuropsych symptoms (anxiety, depression, agitation, etc.). I stopped flecainide for that very reason and am suspecting the same now with propafenone. Has anyone else experienced this side effect?

Hi?? best AFib BP med?
I have AFib & cll. I'm on 5mg Eliquis 2x/day, 100mg metropolol daily and ibrutinib 140mg 1x/day for cll. Counts are good but I continue to wonder which BP med is best in relation to my continuing AFib? I seem to get fatigued if I slightly over do activities. I've been reading and metoprolol seems

AFIB caused heart failure?
Hello, my 76 year old mom was hospitalized a month ago after feeling very sick and ended up having to be intubated in the ICU for a day because her lungs were full of fluid - she had heart failure with an EF of 15%. She has had afib for over 17 years and had an ablation done when she was first diagnosed
