Annual ranty post - I'm sorry in advance❤️
Welcome to my annual rant about this shitty condition. For the last 6-8 months, the pain I'd got so used to handling has skyrocketed tp the point that after a decade, I'm finally prescribed painkillers that aren't paracetamol or ibuprofen. Asked to be referred back to.my gynae at the beginning of November

PMR and AstraZeneca Vaccination
I had my AZ/Oxford vaccination 3 days ago in the early afternoon. By bedtime I had no side effects and thought 'this is a doddle' ! Silly me ! I woke up at 1.30 am with a searing headache and pain in my upper right back towards shoulder where the injection site was. Since then I have been very

Hello!
I've just joined this forum and I must say, after reading some of the posts on here I've been quite reassured in certain regards about my tinnitus. I do have a question and wonder if anyone can shed some light on my particular case. I became aware of my tinnitus almost exactly 3 years ago. My GP initially

Is pelvic/groin pain normal for IBS?
I've recently been diagnosed with IBS but I'm concerned I've been miss diagnosed. Majority of my pain is in my pelvic area going into my groin (like period pain but 100x worse) and a lot of what I've read about IBS is people with stomach and abdominal pain which I do get from time to time normally when

When would I start to feel better?
I’m a 23M, not sexually active, don’t smoke or drink. sorry for the long post. Since the end of November I had some right sided testicular pain. For around a week I put ice on it and took paracetamol. I thought this was referred pain from the boils as I’d kept getting on my scrotum. On the 1st of December

Help and advice please!
I have had PMR for 6 and a half years, with GCA after two years. Nearly 3 years ago I managed to reduce Pred. to 3.5mgs with a small amount of returning pain. I then had a rheumatologist appointment and was told that according to blood test results, PMR was gone and the pain and fatigue I was experiencing

IBS/Bleeding update
I am back with an update. I arranged to speak to my GP but due to a error in the system the appointment was not actually booked. I had called up to check that the pictures I'd taken for my GP to reference had been added to my file, which they had, but kind of hit a wall for a moment. I explained what

Struggling with Covid and asthma.
Update: 02/02/21 Hubby and I finally well enough to leave hospital to continue our recovery. It's going to be a long haul as we both have on going issues due to Covid. Thank you for the well wishes. Home at last after 10 days in hospital. Can't fault the care we received throughout. Update: 29/01/21

NSAIDs Might Exacerbate or Suppress COVID-19 Depending on Timing, Mouse Study Suggests.
( NSAIDs = Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, eg Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Paracetamol ) New research shows that non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) reduced both antibody and inflammatory responses to SARS-CoV-2 infection in mice.
