Fed up with my feet 😒🦶🦶
Hi Peeps, I am getting really fed up with my bloomin' feet!! 😖 Every day they are sooo sore. Today it's my left ankle/top of feet area, the other day it was the same on my right foot! It is hot and swollen. Which ever way it is, I can hardly stand, let alone walk. I was allowed a week of 20mg Prednisolone

Insomnia
Hi my neurologist wrote to me a few days ago regarding the use is melatonin for insomnia she said it was licensed for short term use in adults over 55 years but in her experience it’s not a very effective treatment for insomnia. She added that a course of CBT was more effective. She added that she will

Stabbing pain after lap
I had my lap 8 days ago, and they removed a lot of endo from my uterus, bowel, pouch of douglas, left ureter, DIE on my ligaments, and two cysts from my left ovary. The gas pain was terrible at first but the tummy pain was improving. However, the last 3 days I have got a new kind of pain - intermittent

Return of the Duck - The Sequel
Quack!!! Run for the hills, the duck is back. 10 week post ablation update. Apologies for being awol but hubby has been spending more time on the laptop, which I prefer to use for my posts of witter length and I haven't been feeling too great. Last time, I was waiting for the arrhythmia nurse to ring

The difficulty of qualifying for ritixumab once you’ve started the treatment
Hi all, I have been getting ritixumab for the past 7/8 years and it’s been a godsend, but in order to qualify you need to provide a certain level of difficulty each and every time, the first 3or4 times I was able to wrangle the criteria with the nurse and I settled into a yearly infusion which ticked

Pegasys update
Hi all, So the blood results are in and I’ve had my consultation with my specialist nurse. My platelets after one week have dropped from 450 to 253!! I’ve gained at least 2 hours a day but not energy. My WBC have been compromised so I have a reduced immune system. I'm now dropping my 9 anagrelide

Surgery done.
A little over 3 months ago I put a post on here explaining at bit about myself and what my current state of play was. Since that post things have moved on very quickly and I'm now just over 1 week post AVR surgery. In all I don't feel too bad just on paracetamol for pain relief now. Just literally taking

I am an Old Age Encyclopedia
Hi all I have so many things wrong with me but I still keep going. I am not any good at spelling the names of things that I have But if you need to know I will have a go. Fibro is one and there is no getting away from it, I have told myself to keep off the hard pain killers, which left me at the time

Clear Ultrasounds = No Endo??
I've had countless ultrasounds in the past and told "its all clear, you've just got painful periods" and then sent on my merry way with paracetamol! I'm being seen by a new specialist who seems really on it and I've just had my results back from my most recent ultrasound and once again "all clear". I'm

Tooth ache
Hi all, Quick bit of advice from anyone who may have experience of this. I’m two years post transplant (that flew by!!) and now seem to have an infection in a tooth. Apart from the fact that the pain is mad, and not fully controlled by paracetamol, are there any other concerns regarding the infection

Pain relief
At the start, this is not meant tobe preachy or judgemental. I apologise in avance, if this offends any 1. Im 6 months in to fibro discovery, and see so many new people every day. This is predominately for newbies. I have seen how many long existing sufferers are on strong meds for pain relief. It terrifies

Fatty liver slightly enlarged meds
My pain is getting worse with no hospital appointment on the horizon. My hospital said it’s an infinity list, no beginning, no middle and no end, but I’m on it. Today dr has told me to take omeprazole, and buscuman. Anyone else been given tablets like this for liver pain. Too scared to put more toxins

Vivid dreams
Quite a while ago now I remember reading that some heart drugs can give you very vivid dreams...my dreams are getting more and more vivid. I generally wake up every hour or so covered in sweat and the remnants of a very vivid dream.the dream is as if I am living it and not just watching as a normal dream

Fatigue
Hi, I had my HA 4 weeks ago and been on 80mg atorvastatin since. I am tired all the time. Spoke to the cardiac rehab nurse who advised my to keep a week BP diary and send to GP. Spoke to GP and he said that GP would not be happy changing meds so soon and should be sent to cardiac nurses/consultant.
