Trying to make sense
Short background, edited to clarify - 2 months ago exactly I ended up in A&E with chest pains... blood tests showed elevated troponin levels so was treated for a heart attack (although they were fairly certain this wasn'tthe cause of my symptoms) and monitored for 72 hours. ECGs and echo all clear.

Shock
My husband has had a heart attack, no warning, no family history. It happened last Saturday. Admitted into CCU, one failed angiogram, abandoned due to his blood pressure falling. He is now home, awaiting a cardiac mri scan. It is very shocking for him , so much medication. Prior to this it was a challenge

A and E Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh.
Woke up at 5 am Sunday morning with severe pain under right shoulder blade which remained all day despite maxing out on paracetamol. In the evening I dug out some codeine tablets I had for sciatica last year and added those with similarly little improvement. Monday was more of the same except by now

Help with diagnosing gut issues that suddenly started 18 months ago - Related to sub-optimal B12?
Hi - this is a repost from IBS Network community. I saw posts on here that lower than optimal B12 could be the cause of my gut issues, which dont' seem to be IBD/IBS as calprotectin is low. Any advice - let me know! I'm new to this community and hoping to get some guidance on my gut issues. The heaviness

An uncertain diagnosis
When I posted a few days ago, I mentioned that my haematologist thought I may be nearing treatment. Just received a copy of her letter to my GP which feels less 'urgent'. She says that my lymphocyte count is rising, albeit slowly and the doubling time is approximately 8 months. Hb 114g/L, lymphoctyes

Pain support
good morning I am new to this forum. I am undergoing bloods, x-rays etc to see why I am in constant pain, but my Dr has said Osteoarthritis in my knees and possibly fibromyalgia. I have pain in my knees for approx 8 years and the rest of the pain around 2. There are days/nights where I cry in pain.

possible sign of OHHS
today I had extreme severe pain in stomach all of a sudden. This is 2 weeks after embryo transfer. Doctors said possible OHHS or Ectopic as they cannot see anything in uterus. Could this be because it’s too early? (4 weeks pregnant) the pain went after the doctors gave me Paracetamol IV drips, has anyone

Hi there strange one to ask but I just wondered if anyone else has had a flare and when it's calmed down you find you can't move your wrist, hand or fingers at all and the pain is excruciating. I've tried hot water bottles and ice bandages, I've taken naproxen and tramadol and paracetamol. I've

Massive Headaches During Dialysis
I really need some help if there's anyone who can help. I am a "complex patient" who has Crohn's disease, bowel resections as well as ESRD. Chronic anemia too. Unlike most dialysis patients I have low magnesium, low potassium, low sodium. The headaches I have are excruciating. I take 4x 500mg

Itching induced by emotional stress whilst on low dose of Pred
I’ve read some of the posts on itching brought up by the search engine. I’m tapering from 2.5 to 2mg over 5 weeks, currently just coming to the end of the first week. Ive noticed itching skin when placed under emotional stress (eg a recent scammer on FaceBook Market place). No pain, or if I do get discomfort

Non-medical pain relief in pregnancy?
I'm 5 weeks pregnant, and my endo has been plaguing me. My GP and others keep telling me that the pregnancy hormones should kick in and suppress the endo symptoms, but I'm still waiting! I am taking token paracetamol and considering codeine, but am nervous about the potential risks so would rather

migraines in pregnancy
Hi all! I hope you are all alright! Is anyone suffering with migraines in pregnancy? I am 25 weeks pregnant and I just don't know what to do anymore! Paracetamol works just for a little while and I am scared to take it all the time. I did acupuncture before Ivf and it worked for a while. I tried it again

Think I'm just starting out... Heart Inflammation/Myocarditis
Hi all, I've replied to a couple of posts so far but not actually written one myself. I'm not usually one for writing spiels but I'm wondering if it might be cathartic for me, and maybe someone can offer more insight, or get some from this. This seems to be a lovely, supporting space from what I've

how quick does increase in MTX take effect
Hi, I was diagnosed early March and was on steriods to bridge gap until MTX started working. I was initially on 15mgs. Whilst on oral steroids I became pain free but as I started tapering down I had aches/pains in feet /hands/shoulder and hips. Whilst not too bad and seem to plateau recently I have
