CDK12 gene mutation
The oncologist and
palliative
care
nurse prescribed morphine and dilaudid to help reduce the pain. These pain meds are helping although he can still feel pain and gets breakthrough pain. Ct scan, MRI, bone scan all show something in the mandible so a PSMA PET was also done.

Confusing news from oncologist
The last time his PSA went up, his scans showed nothing and the cancer was indeed spreading I worry that the same thing is happening and it’s getting dismissed again we are all so confused and have one side of

I’m Coco & today Joolsg suggested I post re upcoming NHS Iron Infusion
For sure I’m a complex case, even more so cause it’s infant onset, progressively debilitating & now am 70 and under
Palliative

considered clinically extremely vulnerable. So am totally not expecting to encounter anyone exactly like me, let alone to find an ‘answer to everything’

Hello - I’m struggling
He’s been discharged with NO
palliative
care
or advice on transplants etc. it’s like a losing battle. He’s seen one gastro doctor since his discharge in August and he didn’t give much help to be honest, just said he’d refer him to a specialist in Leeds.

Mum with CBD
My mum got diagnosed with CBD in 2017 we were told in January 2020 she had 4 weeks left to live and was moved into a
care
home for
palliative
care
. Thankfully she is still with us. Hasn't eaten and been bed bound now for 4 years. She survives on 6-7 ensures a day.

Surviving cancer: some options for you to consider
I’m reading that immunotherapy has helped in
palliative
care
and after surgery, but don’t know of no one, who has had this prior to surgery, do you?

Update on mum
Food was the only pleasure she had left and now that too is being taken I asked about hospice involvement and
palliative
care
but the hospice don’t have the staff for visits to care homes is what I’ve been told The staff are doing all they can, they are moving her to an airflow mattress this afternoon

recommendations needed for a pressure relief cushion
I have access to a
palliative
care
consultant, who is very supportive. Also ,the invaluable interstitial nurse helpline. So,I decided that it’s not too bad after all. I’m m counting my blessings. Hopefully everyone is doing ok.

They said
palliative

are coming to speak with me and my mum - not because she is getting put on end of life care but in case something was to happen there is a plan in place. Sounds odd to me - has anyone had this whilst they were in icu?

Asking for best guess info
He's now receiving
palliative
care
and just had his first comprehensive bloodwork since the MO's on June 30. At that time his PSA registered at 6.92. Today's results are 40.28 and I've been compmaring his Aug. and Sept. Basic Metabolic Panels as well.

palliative care
My mum Frances is now having
palliative
care
for CBD. She is cognitive but very little swallow and so very little strength left to dress/walk etc. sadly no speech. Is there really nothing more than a highly calorics yoghurt available for her to eat? it’s so so sad watching this cruel disease .

Lost in France
I think he needs
palliative
care
but our doctor says he's not entitled. My question is: is there anyone in a similar position who lives in France and can they offer guidance? I'm a bit lost.

Palliative care
Mum's GP has recently suggested involving the
palliative
care
team for her heart failure. She was very upset and declined. It would be really useful to learn about other people's experiences of
palliative
care
so we can understand the potential benefits.
