My consultant has put me on
palliative
care
. He says no more lung function tests or CT scans, a triple function inhaler instead of three inhalers and full time oxygen instead of ambulatory. What else can I expect from
palliative
care
? What can I ask for?

Palliative care only
All anti-cancer treatment is being withdrawn, leaving me with
palliative
care
only. She thinks I might see some of 2024, but less of it than more. I would like to thank you all for your support over the years, especially during my struggles to express myself through painting.

Palliative care only
My appointment with my oncologist today was not what one might hope, but what I knew was coming. She has done all she can for me (please don't try telling me of alternatives; we discussed them at length and came up blank with each one). So, with all anti-cancer medication removed, I have nothing but

Palliative care, does it still exist?
All this is going well but nothing from the
palliative
care
team. I was hoping someone would contact me as I could do with some advice. I don't know how to contact the team so can't chase them up. Any ideas ?

End of life information for heart disease sufferers
I have not been able to find anything about
palliative
care
except this - https://www.bhf.org.uk/informationsupport/heart-matters-magazine/wellbeing/end-of-life-care (The end of life needs of people with heart disease aren’t being met). which is not very comforting.

Ibrance/Letrozole Fail
My
palliative
care
team has my hip pain under control. I should be grateful, but I’m angry because I feel like, after just 22 months, I’m nearing the end of my options. I pray for a much longer life. I believe so much in God and I know He will guide me.

What's next?
As I've written before, my husband stopped all treatment and is receiving
palliative
care
. Just got the results of his 3-mo. PSA and it's jumped from 40 to 91. Wondering if there's any way to know if/when symptoms will start appearing due to PCa's further or worsening spread?

Hi, I am absolutely useless with technology…… I wrote a lengthy update about myself, this drug, other drugs, hospital stay, decline of lung transplant at Harefield, referral to
palliative
care
, oxygen - sorry goes on and on, just wanted to share the year’s overall experience.

Palliative care survey for less survivable cancer patients & loved ones (UK)
The survey aims to provide insights so they can lobby for improvements to
palliative
care
services, and to highlight any good practice. People have varied experiences of
palliative
care
and this survey aims to provide statistical and anecdotal evidence so they can identify areas of improvement.

Moving on to hospice care
We have been managing as best we can on our own with the biweekly visits from the
palliative
care
team, but they have suggested that we will need more help as he is deteriorating fast, and anything could happen at any time.

Update finally on treatment
And I am on
palliative
care
for pain management since I have neuropathy in my left arm and hand. I can't use the hand much at all. I have body aches like crazy on the letrozole but no side effects from Ibrance. At least I am doing better in terms of crying, not as often anymore.

RIP Debbie
In last 6 months, having the support of our local hospice
palliative
care
nurses made a huge positive difference. Debbie was only sick in bed for 2 days, although her initial symptoms probably started 7 to 8 years ago.
