Have I made a mistake
Hi - I just recently had a
Pacemaker
fitted and am wondering if I should have taken the option of monitoring first. 18 Months ago I had a cluster of syncope episodes over 10 hours where my heart rate dropped and I lost consciousness.

Have any of you had a hybrid ablation?
A hybrid ablation was one of the choices, My
pacemaker
shows that I am in a fib approximately 76% of the time. I have had one ablation. Medications have not been successful for me.

Online event - "Healing Hearts & Minds: Psychologically Informed Medicine" with Dr Liza Morton
She has lived experience of CHD, having been fitted with a
pacemaker
at 11 days old. Should be an interesting and useful session, I think. Link for (free) tickets - https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/healing-hearts-minds-psychologically-informed-medicine-dr-liza-morton-tickets-150891641963?

Going to the gym with a pacemaker
I had a
pacemaker
fitted in October 2020 Because of covid my first post op consultation was over the phone and I was in the supermarket when the cardiologist called, so inevitably forget everything I wanted to ask him. Is it safe for me to go back to the gym ?

Dapagliflozin Week 1
I'm 62, male and with a CRT
Pacemaker
and an ICD. I have low LV performance and suffer from breathlessness, tiredness, water retention and some nausea due to the tablets I take. I don't have or never have had Diabetes. My prescribed Dapagliflozin is 5mg daily (morning).

Medication induced insomnia?
I had a
pacemaker
implanted 3 wks ago and was discharged on Bisoprolol 5mg, Apixaban 5mg twice daily, Amlodipine 10mg and Atorvastatin 10mg. I knew there might be side-effects and hoped they would settle but am experiencing insomnia which leaves me pretty exhausted during the day.

K I S S, yes trying to keep it simple. A Lupron vacation after 2 yrs on & Abiraterone(250mg) & Prednisone 5mg? Yes or no?
Help my ICD/
pacemaker
functioning. Not saying I will or not saying I won't stop Lupron injections without the facts. That's enough said for one night. Doug

Returning to work after ohs
I had OHS in December 2020, replacing my aorta, aortic valve and a
pacemaker
fitted. Whilst my recovery is going well, I'm still getting pains from the muscles, nerves etc repairing which can be quite severe at times.

Oxygen levels low.
I am waiting to see if a
pacemaker
is going to be arranged. I am using oxygen but not prescribed. I bought it from Amazon during the last 12 months because I was desperate! But my readings confuse me. My heart rate can be at times normal but my oxygen level below 90.

2nd degree heart block type 2 - high sensitive heart rate
Ventricular standstill on ECG for upto 4 seconds so
Pacemaker
fitted. I have a natural HR and It only monitors and works 1% of the time. At the time of diagnosis I was unfortunately going though an episode of extremely high anxiety completely unrelated to heart diagnosis.

Discomfort on my left side
Does anyone else get this small price to pay, I've had a weakness down my left side since the
pacemaker
was fitted and know it's going to get worse as I age I know it due to the way it's going.

Pacemaker Lead Extraction
I have a CRT-D device and have recently been informed that the lead going to my right atrium has fractured and needs extracted and replaced. Has anyone else had a lead extracted? Were there any complications and how long did recovery take?

Pacemaker to parkrun
I’m not a fast runner but enjoy a jog around 5k each Saturday & sometimes volunteer as the Tail Walker to get the exercise. Are there many other park runners with pacemakers? I had mine fitted just over 6 weeks ago and I’m not sure what I can do
