Ablation worries
It does have it’s risks and you can end up with a
pacemaker
and it can be fatal in rare cases. I also read you have to lie flat in your back for the procedure and for several hours after it.

Pacemaker repositioning procedure
Before I agreed to having my
pacemaker
repositioned I asked my cardiologist if there was a risk to the leads , he assured me there isn’t but I’m still very apprehensive . If anyone here has had their
pacemaker
repositioned how was your experience and recovery? Thank you

"hyperthyroid = tachycardia and hypothyroid = bradycardia" ??
I had a
pacemaker
fitted in 2016 but still got the odd episode - I even asked that the
pacemaker
be checked to see if it was working.

Failure at getting off antiarrhythmic med
Fortunately, I was already hospitalized for rapid afib and watched on a heart monitor. 2 days later I had a
pacemaker
/defibrilator. My resting heart rate is 50, my heart MRI showed scare tissues that were too big for an ablation. I was put on sotalol 80 mg twice daily.

Pacemaker not needed apparently
I have just had my first year
pacemaker
checkup. The technician said he is stopping my PM from pacing as my heart has been in normal rhythm for a year! I’ve only had it a year. Had it been implanted necessarily? My heart is now beating normally by itself. Anyone else had this happen?

Emotional effects bisoprolol and pacemaker.
My wife’s about to come off bisoprolol after
pacemaker
fitted. Sounds like you have to come off them gradually. Could the tablets be causing her depression maybe. ☹️ Didn’t realise they had had an emotional effect. 👍👍👍👍
