pacemaker

Pace and Ablate update
It has now been seven months since I had my AV node ablation following having a
pacemaker
fitted in March and I thought I would just let you know how things are now. Hopefully this will also help those of you who may have to have the Pace and Ablate procedure next year.

Pacemakers
I'm a hand-cycling Paraplegic, about to have a
Pacemaker
fitted followed by an AV Node Ablation and interested to hear from any other paraplegic about how they handled the minimum movement of left arm / left pectoral during the 4 to 6 week settling in period for the leads, prior to the ablation

The latter would not help the tiredness/fatigue if this is caused by the af but would help with palpitations - although the af would not be targeted, the pulse would not respond to the af by racing, because the pulse would be controlled by the
pacemaker

Feeling heart beating/pacemaker?
Is it my
pacemaker
kicking in that I can feel and has anyone had experience of this. It’s very disconcerting and I can’t forget that I have a heart condition because of it..if you know what I mean.

Fear and despair AV-Node may not help with my problem
I've always had hope that a
pacemaker
plus AV-node ablation might be a last resort when all medications stop working and even "normal" ablation fails. But now I read that exactly this feeling will not stop after pace&ablate. Why not?

Pacemaker implanted yesterday - Thanks
After tests decided not to do a CRT but a dual chamber ancillary biotronik
pacemaker
. Be easy to add third lead if needed later. Not sure if in there already but prob not. I think they tried with it in. So paced at 60bpm.

Pacemaker pulse felt at the site after regular check
I have had a
pacemaker
fitted for five year and after a recent check I am feeling a pulse in the area of the unit. This has now only occured. Has anyone had experience of this happening, it does not happen all the time and if so what causes this to happen.

Bradycardia
For this reason and my on-going symptoms it was decided I would have an implantable loop recorder to keep an eye on things as he said he would need to be really certain that a
pacemaker
is the right thing to do for someone my age. I am due to have that just after Christmas.

Protein deficiency and B12?
In July of 2022 I had a
pacemaker
implanted, and additional symptoms improved, while others did not, reappearing some days but not others, and again I suspected that something else was going on.

worried about hubbys chest pains
I have a
pacemaker
but mine is an ‘electrical’ problem as the cardiologist put it. We are normally very active and ski twice a year, however he broke his shoulder in March of this year so couldn’t do much for quite a few months through the spring and summer and he is type 1 diabetic.

implantable loop recorder
If it is a regular thing then I have been told I may need a
pacemaker
. I’m just wondering if anyone can shed any light on the procedure for implanting the device?

Pericarditis
I had a
pacemaker
put in and one of the leads caused leakage. The fluid had to be drained from around my heart and the
pacemaker
lead corrected. However, now I am experiencing fatique, shortness of breath, feet goes numb. The doctor put me on colchicine but did not tell me I have Pericarditis.

Hello
I did not do well and ended up with a
pacemaker
. Whilst in hospital I had 2 serious infections and a reaction to the antibiotics they gave me which resulted in my skin peeling off. I came out of hospital determined to move forward.
