Sam my friend from the HDU at St Thomas is improving all the time her own
pacemaker
is kicking back in more everyday and they may be removing her pacing wires on Friday and she won’t have to have a
pacemaker
fitted I’m so chuffed for her as she will soon be able to go home to her family .

5 days Post Op ............ The Journey Starts Here
Unfortunately Sam’s internal pacing system hasn’t kicked back in and it’s looking more like she will have to have a permanent
pacemaker
fitted to keep her heart working which is fissapointing to say the least and very frustrating for her being so young.

11 days post Operation ..... The journey starts here
Sam my best buddy from St Thomas’s hospital was allowed home yesterday without the need for a
pacemaker
fitting I was absolutely over the moon for her as she can now concentrate on her own recovery plan and try to get a glimpse of normality again.

complication after Pacemaker insertion.
I am pretty sure this is not normal after 8 weeks of
pacemaker
insertion. Has anyone had this problem after
pacemaker
fitted? Any advice will be greatly appreciate.

Ectopic beats after AV node ablation .....I'm worried.
I thought I was sorted as my heart has been beating regularly thanks to the
pacemaker
and I haven't been at all concerned..... until now. I've started getting pauses, feels like missed beats.

Hello all, Is there anyone on here that has congenital heart condition dextrocardia with a fontan circulation and who has had a
pacemaker
fitted? I am due to undergo this procedure tomorrow but would be keen to speak to anyone who has already been through it. I’m 31 and live in Bristol.

Still Fed Up
I can’t have an MRI as I have a
Pacemaker
. That was several months ago and I am still waiting. I now have an appointment with the respiratory team. I am so scared that they are not going to help me and leave me in Limbo yet again. It is so hard on me and also my family.

LV systolic dysfunction
It left me with total heart block a leak and a dual responsive
pacemaker
. 2nd person known to ever survive such a rupture so it seems. 18 years on and still here (just about). I’m 42. Thanks for any help or light that can be shed on this.

Failed Ablation for SVT
They tried twice to a late, but had to stop because it was in too tight of a spot and the risk for a
pacemaker
went from 1% to 5-10%. The doctor gave me the choice to try again, but he'd put a skilled team together or I can try meds.

History of Paroxysmal A.Fib.
I have now been discharged by cardiologist (scrap heap) I just have
pacemaker
checked yearly. The A fib was so fierce yesterday my chest is still trembling this morning. I feel as though I have hit a blank wall now, regarding treatment.

Awful news
My friend gave birth nearly 10yrs ago and her heart gave up during labour and she had an emergency c-sec then later went on to have a
pacemaker
. She hasn’t had the best quality of life the last nearly 10yrs, anxiety and severe tiredness amongst her heart not playing ball.

And my EP doesn’t even know yet till 28th August when I see him at the
pacemaker
clinic that my GP has even took me off it!! Let’s put it this way I feel worse now I think than I was when i was taking the Biso. But maybe it takes a few days/weeks for it to get out my system.

I have atrial fibrillation and a
pacemaker
, both as a result of open heart surgery to replace my aortic valve with a bioprosthetic valve.

Pace and ablate and 4 days in fast AF
What are the pros and cons of the
pacemaker
? Could that save me for having multiple ablation which would mean lots of hospital visits? I know you cannot give medical advice but your experiences could help me. Thank you in advance

Can anyone out there with a
pacemaker
tell me what sort of information the clinic gets when you get your pacer checked. Does it then discussed with yourself ?
