Extreme Pelvic Pain - no diagnosis can be found. Ideas?
When I first got my period at about the age of thirteen, it was relatively light and pain-free. Only at about the age of sixteen or so did I start to get cramps. By about eighteen they were out of control - I would be in so much pain I would end up on the bathroom floor crying and I was taking three

So many things that could cause the symptoms - I wish I knew which!
I am on long-term antidepressants. I was on venlafaxine, which produced severe sweating and stopped working. Reducing and stopping this can also produce sweating! I swapped over to nortriptyline (a tricyclic) as I was put on a low dose for pain anyway and in the past have responded better to tricyclics

Is this normal? Pain everywhere can hardly move?
For the last couple of weeks i have become increasingly stiff and ache everywhere in joints, cant move today at all. Without excruciating pain, just laid in bed crying, am on my fourth prostap injection and take oxycodone tramadol and naproxen daily. Does anyone know what's happening to me, don't know

Oxycodone, be aware that is has little effect for Fibro Sufferers according to a rheumatologist.
I was on Oxycodone and OxyNorm for 7 years. Increasing the dosage to help the pain, in the end it had not effect, I was just hooked on the drug. I went to see a Rheumatologist back in October 2012 and he informed me that any Opioid was no good for people with Fibro. I was told that Fibro affect

Oxycodone and new sleeping tablets
Hi guys not been on nofor a while. Been backwards and forwards to gp lately. Who is so understanding. He tried to speak to pain consultant while I was there but not able to. The pain nurse called me a couple of days later saying she recommended tramadol and would arrange for a fax to be sent to gp.

I don't know if anyone will read this, but I'm going to have this rant anyway!! I started complaining of severe back pain when I was 14/15 years old, and have always been told it's growing pains and then it's all down to my weight,( being overweight all my life and then very obese for about 8 - 9 years

Beating Down Chemo's Ill Effects
Are you feeling like you don’t know what to do first … throw up, fall over from sheer exhaustion, or pinch yourself to make sure the hands and feet you can’t feel are still there? I know, not funny. Unfortunately, chemo isn’t as discriminatory as we’d like; the drugs kill the good cells but are rough

Has any female with AMN had kidney problems? I was diagnosed with end stage renal failure early this year. Came out of nowhere.
I am 65 and started having AMN symptoms in my early 40's. I was diagnosed in 1998 after my second one week visit to the Mayo, first visit was in 1991 with no diagnosis. Then the very long chain fatty acid link with AMN was discovered and that is how they finally discovered what I have when I went back

Do any of you worry about addiction to drugs such as Oxycodone; have been on for a month. Off Klonopin and have spend many nights awake.

Does Add-back therapy / HRT (tibolone) stop prostap from working? Anyone have any experience?
I was started on prostap injections 3.5 months ago along with Tibolone HRT / addback therapy. My consultant said I had to start taking the HRT pills after 1st 2 weeks even if I didn't have any menopausal side effects. However, my pain (suspected endo, still undiagnosed - lap'opy on 19th Oct) is getting

DR B REPLIES....... NEUROLOGISTS OUTCOME
