Spiriva disposal
Hi all. Just finished my first Spiriva Respimat cartridge, and realised there are no instructions for disposal. So, what do you do with yours? Bin/back to pharmacy/to an inhaler recycling point? They’re different from normal inhalers, with the plastic on the bottom, so I’m stumped!

Prednisone taper, Xolair, asthma-free vacation in France
Hi all -- If you have successfully tapered down, or got off, prednisone after getting on Xolair -- could you comment whether morning cortisol of 260 nM is acceptable, right before switching from 4 mg to 3 mg a day? I have been on 4 mg for 6 weeks, and I am now going down to 3 mg. My nurse and consultant

Diagnosed with asthma in 2014. Had a flare up in 2017 which took some time to get under control. Fast forward to December 2020. Started having difficulties walking (I'd not that long completed a 30 mile race) and spoke to GP. Prescribed steroids which didn't work. sent for x ray which was clear. Told

Have I been misdiagnosed?
Now, funny things have been happening at our surgery lately. Following a recent blood test, I was told I needed to be seen by the Diabetes Nurse, so I turned up for my appointment and, to cut a rather long story short, it turns out I'm not diabetic at all and shouldn't have been there! Yesterday, I

Oral Thrush from Inhaler use
so I was only diagnosed with asthma last year, and I started using a clenil modulite inhaler. It was all good and fine for the first year, and then I got my first bout of oral thrush :( I have been using the max dose of my inhaler a lot and assumed that that was likely a part of the problem. I got daktarin

Heat vs Breathing
Hello, I hope you are keeping as well as you can, and staying as cool as you can. I was wondering if anyone else finds it hard to breathe properly in this heat? Normally I’m okay, but now this heat is playing havoc with my breathing. I have found I’m taking my inhalers more often, which I don’t like

Asthma / wheeziness getting worse
I’m struggling. I have had asthma but mild since i was 8 years old I’m now 32. Around 5 years ago my breathing / wheeziness started to get much worse. I’ve been on Combisal 25micrograms 2 puffs twice a day with a spacer since then and not improving, my peak flow remains around 550 consistently. I have

Old but new here.
Hello. I wanted to share my history while new, so people can get to know me and what I have gone through, and hope to learn from others what their stories are, in hopes of finding something new to help me and to share what has helped me as well. My body feels like I am a hundred years old. My spirit

ICS/LABA INHALERS
My wife’s doc’s are talking about changing her to these types of inhaler. At the moment she carries a salbutamol inhaler for flare ups and uses serevent and ciclesonide (Alvesco) inhalers and is on itraconazole for an aspergillus growth in one of her lungs. Anyone on these inhalers and have they found
