Another Tumor
Met with the oncologist today to go over the CT scan from my trip to the ER a couple days ago. It turns out the radiologist at the hospital wasn't as inept as I'd hoped, and I really do have a growth on the outside my bladder. Most likely this is a return of my bladder cancer, but a biopsy will confirm

Long-Term Incidence of Secondary Bladder and Rectal Cancer in Patients Treated With Brachytherapy for Localized Prostate Cancer
Saw this on PracticeUpdate web site. There's been a lot of debate about RP vs RT (and still ongoing). Not trying to add fuel to the fire, but something to be aware and discuss with your MO/Urologist/Radiologist: "TAKE-HOME MESSAGE Patients undergoing radiation therapy for prostate cancer are at risk

Giggle incontinence advice for a desperate mum!
Hi I'm new here, I am wondering if there is anyone with any advice on giggle incontinence? My 10 year old son was diagnosed 5 years ago, he pretty much self potty trained at 2 and was dry day and night within 2 weeks. Then at 4 years old he started to lose control of his bladder when he would laugh.

They will rebuild me !
Some of you may know, after a bad fall last year that resulted in my badly smashing both wrists, I’ve needed to have surgery to rebuild them. I had the surgery done in my left wrist in September and then straight into gallbladder removal at the beginning of December. I now have my date for my ankle replacement

Metastatic Prostate Cancer has now spread to multiple sites in my liver. What are my treatment options?

Influenza-induced monocyte-derived alveolar macrophages confer prolonged antibacterial protection.
Despite the prevalence and clinical importance of influenza, its long-term effect on lung immunity is unclear. Here we describe that following viral clearance and clinical recovery, at 1 month after infection with influenza, mice are better protected from Streptococcus pneumoniae infection due to a population

Post Lap - urination- overactive bladder
I was told I have an
overactive
bladder
because I can sometimes have urinary incontinence. I have urinated in bed while I sleep and during an orgasm. Have any of you had urinary incontinence because of Endo or post surgery? Big hug to all of you!

7 Weeks Post Surgery Update
Hello Everybody, 7 weeks after having robotic assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, all is well. Fully continent, both nerves spared, a clean final pathology report, no spread outside the prostate, and a 6 week PSA test reading that is negligible. Next follow-up PSA test is in 3 months. Thank

After the first of the second round,Myhubby58 developed an infection in his bloodstream and I almost lost

PAF again- some musings
Woke up about an hour ago-at midnight- in AF. Not too fast at the moment, but I was surprised as this time there were none of the usual ectopics preceding the AF. I took my pulse before going to bed at 1100, and it was slow (53 bpm) and regular. During the day, however, I had had a lot of tension in

Friable Prostate Tissue
Does anybody out there have any experience with "Friable" tissue in the prostate? That's what my urologist diagnosed me with after having painful urination with occasional blood. He said it's quite common with radiation treatment, but I haven't had radiation treatment. It's currently a wait and see

KEYTRUDA immunotherapy
After two doses of KEYTRUDA immunotherapy; one infusion every 3 weeks. My PSA went from 86 to 1 over 6 weeks and I feel much better. Happy to be no longer hammering my immune system with chemo and instead working with it. I have been stage 4 for almost 4-years and pretty much done most everything available

Scientists develop "tumor on a chip" for testing cancer drugs, AND CRISPR-Cas 9 screens lead to largest dataset of targets in cancers
Scientists develop a "tumor on a chip" which is closest to being like a tumor in the body for testing efficacy of cancer drugs which may help determine drug efficacy for cancers faster, and could even be patient specific using tumor biopsies for growth and testing... https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases

Over sensitive bladder??
Do you agree his wee accidents could be an
overactive
bladder
? If not, any thoughts on what this could all be? Can an
overactive
bladder
also have a knock on effect on the bowels? And perhaps most importantly, what have your routes to diagnosis been and what have they involved? (A scan perhaps?)

Meal suggestions
Thanks for the suggestions on the constipation relief. We're are improving some with the help of Sennoside S and my concerted effort to get raw veggies and fruits into his diet. Now I need to ask for more advice. As the swallowing continues to deteriorate, meal have become more of a challenge.

Recent Diagnosis and a question.
I had a prostate biopsy on 12-19-2019 following an MRI that showed a "troubling lesion", according to my urologist/oncologist who is a surgeon. He said I would have results in the new year as offices closing over holidays. Two days later, on Saturday, 12-21, he called to say that of the 12 Cores taken
