Full resection/excision due today - and I’m poorly
Bowel, side walls, ligaments and
ovary
removal
and yesterday I came down with an excrutuaring sore throat. I went to the drs and they put me on anti biotics straight away. My throat is quite a lot better today but I still have a headache and a bit of an aching body.

Hey Guys, After a truly horrific year of attacks (which we have affectionaly nicknamed death pains) occurring 2-3 times a week most weeks, I finally had my gallbladder removed on the 11th November. Wile it was an unpleasant experience, my surgeon told me the op would end my suffering and I was so excited

Where removes a polyp?
I am trying to work out the best place to get this suspected polyp removed as my clinic won't go ahead with the IVF without a hysteroscopy and polyp removal. However, the the clinic and also the local NHS clinic that we also have been to both don't do polyp removal. I have a GP appointment tomorrow to

Referral consultant operating on bowel/ureter and possible left ovary removal... Should I be concerned?
I am currently on the waiting list for my first laparoscopy following diagnosis of endometriosos via MRI. The gynaecological consultant has an interest in endometriosis. Her clinic is described as a 'one stop shop'. She attempts to treat issues quickly and with minimally invasive options. I appreciate

Gallbladder removal
Do I need a referral to see a surgeon for gallbladder removal surgery? Can a nurse practitioner refer me to a surgeon or does it have to be a doctor?

In what conditions (other than Hasimotos) are TG Antibodies raised (but TPO AB's are not)? Also results interpretation please.
In what conditions (other than Hasimoto's) are TG Antibodies raised please? I'm struggling to obtain a clear answer on this. Below are my MediChecks full thyroid panel results; the MediChecks GP stated that my results indicate Hasimoto's, although my TSH indicates my thyroid function is "fine" currently

‘Phantom ovary pain’ when you’ve had them both removed?
Hi all, 13 weeks post-total hysterectomy and bi-lateral oophorectomy here and generally, all is well thank goodness. However, I’ve started to get what I can only describe as ‘ovulation’ pain on and off in the area where my ovaries used to be! Obviously I can’t be getting ready for a period with none

Surgical menopause
Hello All We've been asked to write a blog post about surgical menopause for the PositivePause website https://www.positivepause.co.uk/ . It will be a really short piece but I'd like to include your comments about your experience or any tips you have for managing the sudden effects of surgical menopause

Hysterectomy and oophorectomy
Hi, Would like to hear anyone's experience of hysterectomy and oophorectomy, as my surgeon is suggesting it for me. I have a frozen pelvis/ bowel endo. I'm very worried about going into sudden full blown menopause, as my hormonal imbalance is horrible enough as it is! I'm not sure if it would be a case

Stopping letrozole
I was diagnosed in 2010 with breast cancer. Had mastectomy and lymph node removal. While being tested for chemo tumour found in lung and lobe removed. I then had chemo and radiotherapy and commenced on tamoxifen. I then relocated and ? Advances in research and post menopausal was changed to letrozole

Looking for advice about endo and surgery
I’m 46 and definitely peri menopausal as periods quite haywire (that could be due to
ovary
removal
?) Am I being naive to want to try and avoid surgery? Is it inevitable?
