Glans - Keeping hydrated vs Keeping dry
It's been 16 days since my circumcisino. Like many people here, i have a super Sensitive glans. It seems there are two very different approaches being used to desensitize the glans: 1) Keep the glans completely dry 2) Keep the glans hydrated I'm wondering which of these will help to reduce

Clonidine given mainly for ADHD patients
I have been given Clonidine to help bring down my blood pressure. I can tolerate two a day but so far taking any more is difficult. They make me very dizzy and headachy. I tried taking a third one for two weeks but found I was having episodes where I lost control of my eyeballs. They just rolled

Adalimumab?
I’ve been reading posts about Adalimumab and I’m a bit confused. It seems to be called a few different names and also seems to be used alongside Methotrexate or something else. I will only be taking it on its own as I can’t take Methotrexate. Is anyone else using it on its own?

surgery and effects on asthma
I had ear surgery today and the anaesthetic team were fantastic regarding my asthma, with putting me at ease and talking me through different plans if anything happened re asthma. They decided to give me some steroid (for anti sickness and hep my chest as a preventative measure) 3/4 through the surgery

Visual change in left eye and headaches
The visual change is a circle of light seen by the left eye; headache above left eyebrow and at times pain above temple. Seen by an optician last Saturday who said both eyes were healthy, but referred me to my GP as he thought it could be neurological. Appointment with GP yesterday, then made an appointment

Adults with PCD & hearing issues
Does anyone here (adults) with PCD have trouble with their ears? I had grommets when I was much younger and used to hear ok-ish! But the last few years my hearing has deteriorated to the point I can hardly hear anything. I've been to see an NHS hearing specialist and they've given me hearing aids

An update on recent tapering blip...
Following my recent attempt to taper from 4mg to 3.75 and the return of symptoms I abandoned all thoughts of continuing with it and remained on 4mg in the hope that it would sort things out. My ESR test came back at 31 ! From 15 when I was on 5mg back in the summer. I have had a GP telephone review today

Ganfort - is it preservative free?
My consultant prescribed Ganfort eye drops because they're supposed to be preservative free and I had been having problems (soreness) with other eye drops. However, I note from the accompanying leaflet that they contain the preservative benzalkonium chloride which is a preservative. Just wondering if

Fusion - Confusion!
Hiya, I've just been told my MRI showed up adhesions and fusing of my bits to other bits within my pouch of douglas and I need surgery to remove this. I've already had 2 laparoscopies for my endo but wondered if anyone else has experienced this surgery and what I should expect. Any advice and chat would

Sudden sensorineural hearing loss & congenital hypothyroidism
I have just been diagnosed with this hearing loss by a private ENT consultant which is probably permanent because it is now too late for steroid treatment to work. NHS ENT doctors should have given me steroids immediately. Instead they treated it as a simple ear infection and failed to provide follow

Had first MRI now need to see ENT specialist
Hi I’ve had high pitched Tinnitus in my left ear for a few years now and recently after a few bad hearing tests was referred to an ENT specialist, he checked me and said I have to go for an MRI and hearing test. I had the MRI and recently received a letter saying I need to see him in a couple of weeks

Awaiting MRI result
Hi. I wondered how long people had waited before receiving results of an MRI scan? Having developed tinnitus (constant white noise rather than ringing) for about a month, I then got sudden deafness in one ear and was referred to ENT promptly. Had high dose oral steroids and then injected steroid
