Hearing aids and work
Hi, I started using hearing aids earlier in the year (moderate to severe loss, with profound at the highest frequencies). I’m only in my mid 50s and have close to 10 years working left. As with a lot of office workers I’m now spending an awful lot of time on MS teams. I’m really struggling with headphones

Sonitus soundbite
Hi all, Has anyone had any experience of using the Soundbite device to address hearing loss in one ear after acoustic neuroma surgery? Just looking at options as I'm struggling a bit, so it would be good to hear of others experience. Here's the website: https://www.sonitusmedical.com/the-soundbite-hearing-system-in-detail

tinnitus so loud I can’t hear in my right ear
I’m currently experiencing a difficult time owing to a family bereavement . My tinnitus has been getting worse over last few days and today my hearing is almost completely gone in my right ear . I have had an mri with clear results . Is there anything I can do to try to help calm it down ? I’m assuming

Gingko Biloba - Supplement Advice
Hello everyone, I'm reaching out for advice on using Ginkgo Biloba to combat brain fog. My previous experience with the Amitamin Ginkgo complex yielded promising results in boosting mental clarity. However, I've noticed it contains iodine (150ug), which I'd rather steer clear of. With that in mind

arthritis drug and tinnitus
hello….i have rheumatoid arthritis, and i have been recommended to take a disease modifying drug to slow the disease progression. My issue is that i have constant tinnitus in both ears, and my rheumatolgy nurse has toldme that tinnitus is a side effect of ‘all commonly diagnosed’ disease modifying drugs

I have had two heart surgeries in the past and was getting skipped heart beats for a while. After my 24 hour ECG they found something called wenckebach phenomenon. Anyone have any idea what this is and is it normal for someone with a heart condition

Hi , 1st post! symptoms since August 23. Face numbness , hearing loss , eye blur , balance and swallowing issues. It’s take 8 months to speak to a neurologist over the phone. Had a scan last week 29th April. Called 2 days later with diagnosis and told my scan was being sent to ENT. Haven’t heard anything

vertigo
though this is a tinnitus forum, people often post about their vertigo. i have an apology to make, having inadvertently misinformed recently. In brief, I was told by a doc at my surgery some ten years ago (who specialised in ear issues) that I should concentrate on the exercises given for this condition

Newbie with Tinnitus and Pulsatile Tinnitus
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and would appreciate any tips. I've had tinnitus for many years and PT for 18 months. I also have ear fullness, dizziness and headaches. My GP was great from the outset and sent me for an MRI and referred me to a specialist ENT consultant immediately. The consultant

Struggling
I’ve been struggling with tinnitus more and more recently but now it’s so loud I can’t rest. I currently have 3 noises going on with a high pitched constant noise, a regular knocking nose and a whooshing noise and I feel exhausted and overwhelmed. This is my first time on this forum but I just needed

Good chilly May morning 🥶
Good morning with windchill it’s 22 degrees in Pocatello Idaho that’s at least 20 degrees below average. I’m still toughening it out in my shorts 🩳 it is supposed to warm up this week 🤞🏼. Rozy is doing better pretty much healed up from surgery and ear infection 😊 I’m just about over my cold/crud

Swollen red cheek andslight jaw pain on one side.
My friend was diagnosed 6 weeks ago with PMR and GCA. Great improvement on steroids. Yesterday she had slight jaw pain and this morning her face is red and swollen. Could this be a flare. She is on 20mg per day of prednisolone.

Hi all I’m new to this group. I was diagnosed 18 months ago with tinnitus after I went the to my local Boots for hearing test and they said I had a 60% loss in my left ear, I was rather surprised. I was referred to audiologist given a hearing aid and that was that. Had two sessions of tinnitus therapy

hi All, I wish I could cheer you up but unfortunately this is not a particularly happy post. I recently started suffering from pulsatile, tonal tinnitus , aural fullness and sound distortion in very quick succession. While the hearing test doesn’t show much change from previous ones, I am sure there

Ear pain
Hello, I keep getting ear pain both sides. I have just been seen at ENT . He was more concerned about my snoring and is sending me for tests for sleep apnoea. He just said its fibromyalgia in your ears! I feel rather dismissed again. As they see your records and spot fibro, it's like an easy get out
