Fear of too many vitamins.
My story is , I was diagnosed with osteoporosis 2 years ago but only one digit into it on my right hip 2.6 the rest
osteopenia
. I decided after much research not to take prescribed medication owing to the terrible possible long term effects. So started to take vitamins.

PIP DOWNGRADED ME BACK TO STANDARD ON BOTH

The last DXA scan on 16th May 2019 diagnosed a little
osteopenia
. I take two Ad cal D3 tablets a day. From what I have read I don't like the sound of the AA. Is it necessary?

New Here
Good morning, I am newly diagnosed with
Osteopenia
and my mother has full blown Osteoporosis. I am working on eating right and doing weight bearing exercises to help my own bones, but Mom has had 4 spinal fractures (now healed) and is struggling with pain every day.

What Now Pt 2
Dexa revealed
Osteopenia
. Hip and Spine is -1.5 and femoral neck is -2.3 (flirting with osteoporosis). I'm asking myself Why The F@@k have I been destroying my body with a drug ( XGEVA) that was supposed to prevent this? Is it time for a vacation from ADT, or time for a new Oncologist, or both?

Before Xmas I've been diagnosed with
Osteopenia

Stay or Go
3-1/2 years of ADT +Zytiga, Prednisone, and Xgeva and I've developed
Osteopenia
, and near Osteoporosis (-2.3) in femoral neck, (-1.5 spine and hip) and fractured T11 vertebra . My thoughts are that this is directly related to the ADT.

Balancing prednisolone/methotrexate/osteopenia/pmr and myasthenia gravis
I’ve had 3 yearly Dexa scans which have been fine until the last one a month ago which showed
osteopenia
. I’ve been on pred since 2009 and went onto mtx a year ago at 15mg per week and got to 5mg pred daily.

Second Opinion?
After the X-rays revealed the fracture, my GP ordered a dexa scan, where
Osteopenia
was discovered, as well as being right on the cusp of osteoporosis , I informed my Oncology Team, they determined(without images, only a written report) the fracture was "Osteoporotic", and NOT cancer related.
