Timing of scans?
How often are people having scans after chemo? I last had a scan in August 22 when I finished front line chemo. I have since started maintenance then stopped to have a lymph node removed and restarted again. I was of the understanding I would get one every 3 months for at least a year but this doesn't

my 58 y/o partner diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer in mediastinum with lymph node involvement and bone mets
hi there. Not really sure what to ask as this is such a huge shock as it has been so quick. However, after much hassle and pushing for tests the above diagnosis was made. We were told they may not give chemo due to his deranged bloods and liver function tests. However, if they do decide itās platinum

Relation between reduction on blood thinning meds and reduction in GFR at the same time.
My GFR dropped to 51 after finishing my chemo and a change from anticoagulant injections to 10 mg per day apixaban 2 years ago. Had a DVT whilst undergoing chemo even though i tried to stay active. Four months ago my apixipan was reduced again to 5mg a day. My GFR has gone down to 41 not long after

Other Gleason 8 guys, I see in studies, research and in on going trials, Radical Prostatectomy shows better over all survival
On another site yana, ( you are not alone, a prostate survival story site) a site of survival stores all the Gleason 8 with Radiology Prostatectomy, have longer survival, some guys are still alive after 10, 12 years and I talk to a few that actually had RP after metastatic spreadā¦Ā There are now

Lu-177 as SOC vs Clinical Trial
Many thanks to all contributors! Since I've now just had my 16th cabazitazel/carboplatin chemo treatment, we're looking at options and working on Lu-177. I'm curious that, since Lu-177 is now FDA approved and is Standard Of Care, is there an advantage to seeking a clinical trial vs receiving it as

Finally, my MO's treatment plan:, no Triplet Therapy. Let's do Eligard, XTANDI, Radiation, XGEVA
After waiting for two months to get a CT guided bone-biopsy and the results, my MO has discussed her best treatment option as follows: Eligard, XTANDI, Radiation - and XGEVA Her rationale is that my metastatic "load" isn't big enough to warrant chemo since it's only in the bones, not in any other organs

Chemo/Pluvicto or Clinical Trial?
I have stage 4, mcrpc with mets to pelvic lymph nodes and prostate. ADT (Firmagon and Zytiga) kept PSA undetectable for ~2.5 years, then PSA started to rise. I had radiation to prostate in March of this year, which did not help. I started a clinical trial in October at NYU (LAVA 1207 immunotherapy)

Non secreting PSA - How often will PC be monitored
Hi all, my husband has just completed chemotherapy and he will have scans middle of January and will start radiotherapy beginning of February. My concern is how he will be monitored as heās non secreting. His PSA was within normal limits when he was diagnosed with APC but did drop when treatment

Provenge after 2 rises in PSA ?
Hello All , I had a yearly visit with my Urologist . Nothing really bothering me , just to keep him in the loop . I have a MO at V.A. and a MO at U of Chicago . So during our chat he said their practice , Advanced Urology , their MO only does chemo . Other meds done by different docs . I found that strange
