Does anyone have advice for managing insomnia from when they take
opioids
? This has always been a challenge for me. Nothing to do with rls keeping me awake.
Opioids
have always made me a little bit wired.

Insomnia add CBD oil
CBD oil acts on different receptors than
Opioids
and THC . If you are taking low dose CBD with THC or medical marijuana and you still suffer insomnia add extra pure CBD oil.

Restless legs destroyed my life.
Hi after an excruciating withdrawal from
opioids
and methadone I thought my life was just beginning, however I then started suffering with rls I thought it was just part of the withdrawals and would pass in time.

Help! Horrible pregabalin side effects
I am really trying to give the alpha-2 delta ligands a fair try before concluding that I have refractory RLS and will only get relief with
opioids
. But I am afraid to stay on the pregabalin much longer because it will just get harder and harder to wean off the longer I take it.

After recovery from DAs augmentation
Are there examples of folks recovering from DA augmentation to the point that they no longer need any medication (ie:
opioids
)?

Are Food supplements worth a try?
Hi all, I have recently been hospitalised with an endo flare requiring a significant amount of
opioids
to help with the pain. i have read online that omega 3, turmeric and ginger root supplements are good at acting as an anti-inflammatory and are helpful in relieving long term chronic pain.

Holistic first consultation of RLS sufferers with their doctor and use of intravenous iron therapy
See my discussion on iron therapy and dispelling the ‘fallacious fear of raised ferritin’ (not the sensible scientific care in avoiding iron overload) Discuss treatment options - intravenous iron, alpha 2 delta ligands ,
opioids
and only if absolutely necessary………………dopamine agonists. 9 For those

Could Posterior Scleritis be linked to Baricitinib?
It’s been a difficult time since then managing on steroids and
opioids
so I’m desperate not to have side effects outweighing benefits of the Baricitinib as there is nothing else for me to try.

AGA Clinical Practice Update on Management of Chronic Gastrointestinal Pain in Disorders of Gut–Brain Interaction: Expert Review
BEST PRACTICE ADVICE 3:
Opioids
should not be prescribed for chronic gastrointestinal pain because of a disorder of gut–brain interaction. If patients are referred on
opioids
, these medications should be prescribed responsibly, via multidisciplinary collaboration, until they can be discontinued.

Always remember Willis Ekbom disease is not the medical curriculum so they are not educated about RLS they are also worried about
opioids
which I am certain they all have some in their own medical cabinet at home.

Severe chronic pain from worn neck discs
He has been prescribed every pain and nerve med going (except for
opioids
, which he wants to avoid) and has also tried a miriad of alternative treatments costing us a fortune. He finds alcohol helps him to get some sleep, after he has been awoken with severe pain for 3 hours every night.

For the experts, or anyone who has done a sleep study: what is the benefit of actually doing one, if you are far down the RLS road?
After long term DA use, many doctors, an iron infusion,
opioids
, etc.? Do they actually have you lie there all night without any meds or help? Would I learn anything? It is hard to imagine that much could come from it, but I would love any input from the forum. Thanks very much!

Best Treatment if you’re already on Opioids
Hi, I’ve just arrived. I have only recently begun suffering from RLS. I’m on a ton of very strong pain killers for Fibromyalgia, CRPS, a bowel disorder, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Acute Anxiety & Clinical Depression & more. So my pain meds already include: Diazepam, Oxycodon, Fentanyl Patches, Zapain
