Damaged by pain clinic!
I have been suffering an intractable pain problem in my lower back for just over 5 years, can’t remember exactly but 3 1/2 years ago was offered an epidural, I had the injection with no warning from consultant, this injection was depemedrone, after the injection my pain levels went through the roof,

Husband fed up -- Update and questions
First off, my gratitude to the many people here who offered advice, thoughts, prayers, and good wishes on my other posting. As stated, we had a weekend from Hell because of Mike's severe back pain. Yesterday, he managed to get an appointment with his MO -- after a snotty nurse on the phone demanded to

I'm so glad to be on this group. I've read all your posts and I want to tell you I'm so sorry for those of you still suffering with little help. That is me. We must not give up hope. I'm in the Atlanta area. My nightmare began 8 years ago when I began to experience severe constipation and colon pain

Oral hygiene on point but always need dental treatment at each visit !!!! Can this disease attack your gums too I wonder !
Every day I brush my teeth at least twice a day, some times more. I use a mouthwash and floss daily too. Unless I put my mouth in the washing machine, I can’t be any cleaner But every time I go dentist I have gum disease, not always in the same place either. Dentist is confused too as he said he

Intravenous and intratracheal thyrotropin releasing hormone and its analog taltirelin reverse opioid-induced respiratory depression
All too often we ignore TRH ( thyrotropin releasing hormone) - despite its fundamental role in telling the pituitary to produce TSH. It is left out of so many discussions. This paper is now suggesting that TRH could have a role as a medicine in its own right! If the concepts make sense, perhaps these

CBD OIL ! Hi anyone know anything about the oil ? Selling in Holland & Barrett at a legalised low dose in UK now! Advise please in pain 🌸
I’m interested in any information from anyone who has tried it or thinking of trying it. As I am, if I get ok from my Dr with interactions with my drugs I’m thinking of it as I can’t take anti inflammatorys due to only having one damaged kidney and hate taking all the opioids for joint pain as they make

Who’s heard of this?!? I’d like to think you all have. Just another problem that comes from laparoscopic operations. I’ve just found this out due to me being one of those people who has to have all the answers. It is caused by too much co2 in your body and can be caused by the operation itself where

Pain Poll Results
Hi folks. Thank you for your great responses. It's horrid to see that many are suffering pain on top of everything else. It must be distressing for both cared for and the carers.
Please keep replying to it if you haven't yet done so - I am still gathering info.

Get to know me a little bit 🤓
Hello, I’m Kayla. I’ve been suffering from restless leg symdrome since 2010. It’s the worst feeling in the world. When I broke my toe I notice that opioids helped but I only asked for one refill. Anyway so far I’ve tried 2 different meds. My dr think my spinal Stenosis is a factor in my RLS. Hopefully

US Opioid Study
The US RLS foundation has posted a link about a study on low dose opioids for RLS. This will be invaluable for those of us with severe RLS for whom all other treatments have failed. The US & UK governments are seeking to clamp down on opioid use due to over prescription and abuse. If taken in low doses

“Right to Try” legislation
Gus, et al, Don't get too excited. Today in the NY Times [1]: "At first glance, a bill passed by the House of Representatives this week seems like the kind of thing anyone could get behind. Known as the “Right to Try” legislation, it would allow terminally ill patients access to experimental drugs

Yep, you can have no obvious lesions on a CT scan and still need chemo! "Encasement of the bowel and its mesentery by Carcinometistasis" is the issue for me. It seems the seeding is so extensive it is almost paralysing my bowel so my oncologist says 2nd line chemo may reduce it. He also said that it

Dental treatment
Yesterday I had a mouth biopsy for lichen planus. Afterwards I had a really bad headache and am now suffering sensitivity to light and difficulty swallowing. The dental hospital says it not due to the biopsy. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Advice re symptoms please
Hi After a long road and seeing many GPs and an Endo who couldn't help, I have finally found a GP who thinks I have subclinical hypothyroidism and maybe some pituitary issues. I was originally signed off work in Nov and I eventually resigned from my job due to symptoms such as exhaustion, panic attacks

From chronic opioid pain meds to finding relief with facet joint injections.
After three years on OxyContin, I found immediate relief today with facet joint injections. I’m happily looking forward to weaning off opioids and getting back to living life. I almost didn’t give this treatment a chance due to the Dr. being quite rude about my pain meds and questions about the procedure
