So my fitbit has the ECG function and the last few days when I felt iffy I was just getting an inconclusive result. Today I managed to catch it as I felt my heart briefly going wild and it says AFib. I have a cardiology appointment soon and plan to tell them but worry they'll just think it's ridiculous

Scarborough Cardiology
Big shout out to the smooth operation of the out patients department at Scarborough hospital. I had an appointment at 9.00am today. By 9.15 I'd had my BP taken, excellent 116 over 66, height and weight measurements done and an ECG carried out. At 9.30 I was sat with the cardiologist for a 15 minute chat

Mini Stroke Post Heart Attack
Hi folks Was just wondering if this has happened to anyone? I’ve had a couple of “funny turns” recently and a particularly bad one on Thursday evening which ironically was exactly one year to the day since my HA. Ended up in A&E all night getting various tests. ECG, bloods x 2 (initial troponin

What s happening in our NHS ?- All the shortages.
Two examples - I take Amiodarone for AF and other fast heart beats, I have had to have my prescription sent to another village, and they are running short. Glandosane synthetic saliva spray - Dry mouth is dross to put it mildly. no pharmacy near where I live has any. Not just the the BCG treatment

AF medication
I have had palpitations intermittently for a long time then realised I had AF. As it is Paroxysmal I captured it on a Scan watch and shared the ecg with my GP who confirmed the diagnosis. The GP performed blood tests to look at underlying causes and all normal. The GP has referred me for 24 hour tape

buprenorphine side effects
hello all, so I’ve been on buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual film for a couple weeks now. I also recently went back on a low-dose of statins as after being off them for six months as my cholesterol shot up 100 points. I take one quarter of the film at night around 6 o’clock. I sleep all night which

Some bad news…
I had a bypass a year ago and everything seemed to be going fairly well. I noticed a bit of chest pain in May but this seemed to pass over and the consultant wasn’t too concerned. However, two or three weeks ago I noticed some left-sided chest/arm/shoulder pain when cycling and this has got progressively

BAT trial update
I commenced the trial about 2 months ago and I have now had 2 cycles of treatment consisting of testosterone injections and carboplatin infusions. 5 days ago I had my first CT and bone scans and the trial leader tells me my 3 detectable rib metastases are 'stable'. The stable assessment is good enough

OCD came back!!!!
Had religious OCD for a looooonnngggg time. Finally bit the bullet and got Exposure Therapy a little over a year ago. Went through it - it worked. I wasn’t cured, but I didn’t care to be cured because I wasn’t afraid anymore. OCD came back about a week and a half ago… I started having chest pains.

Anxiety help
Hello I found this forum today not knowing what to expect. So here goes what my story is. About 10 or 11 years ago I got diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. I was focused on a fear of a heart attack and always panicking myself into going to the hospital. I was like 4 times in a week before a mean nurse

ECG showed minimal ST depression laterally -1mm and I had minimal fluid on my heart on a ct scan but A and E dr said it had been absorbed? Are they connected?

Hi, I was sent to A&E by NHS 111 as I had, what felt like, indigestion and a numb left arm. Although the ECG was clear my troponin level was through the roof. I was admitted to the cardiac ward and was told that I had suffered a heart attack. Although I felt fine. I was sent for an angiagram, which

Early intervention pycosis
As I think I've put previously I was sectioned on the 17th October and hospitalised for a month. On coming home after just 48 hrs my symptoms were getting worse again the same two voices back speaking to me a lot. I had visit from home team who made appointment for the early intervention pycosis team

Omeprazole reaction during and after taking 20mg dose
I wonder if anyone can help me or put me at ease a bit. And I don't know if I'm on the right forum, please guide to me to the right one if not. A gp recently recommend I take 20mg omeprazole once a day for a month. This was due to an unknown dull pain in my right side. I'm a 28yr old female. Day one
