Coughs and Sneezes spread diseases.
Well, the wretched cold which had been hanging around for a week not doing much in particular, finally woke up and got going Wednesday evening. Had a very bad night, unable to breathe through my nose as so bunged up, coughing and sneezing and finally took myself off into the spare room but still couldn't

Painful gums/teeth, can it be connected?
hello again! I went to the dentist 4 weeks ago with tenderness but couldn't point out exactly to dentist which tooth I thought it was from, she removed 2 fillings to see if there was an underlying problem, there wasn't so I am due to go back in a couple of weeks to see how things are... So now it

Cortizone Shots...Good Times!
I am fairly new to this site, I thought this would be a perfect place to ask who out there is maybe in the same place as I am. I have R.A., and have been on disibility for about a year. I have tried Enbrel, Humera, Remicade, Orencia, methotrexate, & Arava. I am now on Cimzia with Arava. I really can't

Can naproxen really make such a difference?
When my steroids got increased to 40mg I was taken of naproxen due to issues the two together can cause. Well now my const has changed her mind and put me back on it. I don't feel wonderful bu I definitely feel an improvement. Can it really make such a difference when enbrel, mtx made no difference at

Physioterrorist
3rd session with the physio today. As I had had my sub clavicle something or other injected on the 18th November, she really put me through it. Shoulder was really painful afterwards but has settled down as the day has worn on. I have also got a resistance band to use - bright yellow - Berry has been

Start 2012 not with a Bang but a whimper.
Just gone down with my 3rd cold in 6 weeks. Coughing and croaking, been sick several times as well, awful stomach ache, headache and lost my appetite. My immune system really is dragging its feet now. I see my consultant soon so will ask if the increased dose of MTX is causing the problems. I have

Where's my miracle??
6 weeks ago today I left hospital after 9 days on the ward. I couldn't stay anymore as there was no more they could do for me and my mum agreed to administer all the drugs and nurse me. As some of you know I haven't been on here in a while as I have and still am quite poorly. I still have oral

Is sero negative RA more difficult to treat than sero positive RA?
I have sero negative RA and have failed mtx, sulphazSine and have been told to stop my 7th enbrel injection but I've had no response to it anyways due to a reaction in my skin. A nice lady from nras just posted me the nice guidelines for when anti tnfs fail. Has anybody else been down this path?

Sounds daft but how do you know when the treatment is working!
Hi all, I know this sounds weird but I have just been diagnosed in March and have had so far Methotrexate, Sulphasalazine then Remicade and now Enbrel plus sulasine and due to go onto as well methotexate injections again. I was so ill the week before christmas that I had to go to the Rheumy in a wheelchair

Hell continues without a break
Still in considerable pain. Can't put my feet down to the floor as they are so painful and swollen. Shoulders (both) are letting me know they are there and I have agonising pain in my groin on the left side which spreads right round and down my leg. Makes it very difficult to even walk so limping badly

My 2 Year RA Anniversary
It was my 2 year anniversary of being diagnosed this week, not the sort of anniversary you expect cards or chocolates for but I certainly never expected to be here 2 years ago! I've had a massive flare since early september, I was on 25mg mtx and enbrel but missed two doses as I got an infection

I'm about to start Orencia after Enbrel, Humera and Simponi didn't seem to help much. I'd love to hear about your experiences with Orencia.

I have just injected my Enbrel and before i go and have my post injection nap i just wanted to say to all of us.... I think we are all really really really brave, be it whatever we take or inject medication wise or all the pain we have get and all of the side effects and other unwanted symptoms we have

If I do suspect an infection, can I wait until morning?
Since I asked this morning it has become worse with some side pain, I'm wondering now if it is an infection after all but wondered if it would be okay to wait until tomorrow before contacting NHS? I'm a bit stuck as being home with little one and family all away at get together for new year, don't

Anyone out there with Psoriatic Arthritis?
I have been waiting to change from Enbrel to Abatacept and have had a barrage of blood test which showed that I have the HLAB27 antbody which is indicative of Psoriatic Arthritis. This usually, but not always follows Psoriasis which I do not have! However, sometimes it works the other way round. Has
