And so it begins......
Hi. Diagnosed in August 2018. Age 64. See details in my profile. Started Bicalutamide 1st Sept. Now on Prostap 3 (ADT). Sadly our daughter passed away unexpectedly in October. This was a devastating shock following on so soon after my diagnosis. This has affected us both massively and I think the hormone

Endometriosis pain meds stopped working?

Be positive take control f your life
12 months go diagnosed with AF and mild CHF. Cardiologist wanted me on Ramipril, Bisoprolol and a blood thinner. I am quite active cycling and walking so stayed off them. This August/September had what I felt was 'cold' on the chest which resulted in me having a couple of nights with fast heart beat.

A good visit to the doctor
I went to see the doctor today to get my bone density scan results. I was ready for a discussion regarding not taking alendronic acid. I was pleasantly surprised. The first thing he did was to hand me a copy of the results from the hospital and then gave an explanation. My results are: spine -1.1 and

Increased Libido!
It was found after my first ivf with nil eggs fertilised a couple of months ago that I have poor quality eggs, so I started taking 75mg dhea, vit D, omega 3 and folic acid daily. After about less than a month taking it, my Libido has shot up massively! It's great but so bizarre. Anyone else had this?

Latest bloods... and increase - thoughts?
Firstly apologies as I’ve already posted a version of this question yesterday, (Thanks to angel for your reply.) however my dr has advised an increase in levo and I’m a bit wary. Some days I seem to get symptoms of over medication, ie, head and ear pressure, dizziness etc and when I was last on a dose

Omega 3 supplement advice please 🤗
Hi ladies. Hope you all are doing well ❤️ I was looking into Omega 3 supplements and was hoping to start it before my next icsi cycle starting the end of November. Can anybody that has used it shed some light on how much to take and if you felt it beneficial. Any advice or info would be much appreciated

Latest bloods - thoughts?
I’m considering T3.... what are people thoughts on my latest bloods? Would it help? I just can’t seem to make that final jump in consistent energy levels and some days I’m still very symptomatic. Others I’m fine but always terrible brain fog. I’m continuing to supplement with B12, b complex, iron, Vit

Is this normal?
I took my first Zoladex shot yesterday and today the cramps are back and they’re quite painful. I also started bleeding again, when I only stopped bleeding three days ago after bleeding for 2 weeks (I was placed on tranexamic acid for that episode). Please is this normal? What other unpleasant effects

Lipoic acid update
Thanks to everyone who has responded to my post about lipoic acid. I have contacted my neuro and my PCP. Here is what my neuro said: "Alpha lipoic acid has no known interactions with Ocrevus. However, you should check with your primary care provider regarding interactions with any other medications

ALA and drug interactions
Just an FYI, ALA (lipoic acid) may interfere with diabetes by lowering blood sugar (if you are diabetic and on meds, monitor your blood sugars and watch for low sugar (hypoglycemia). ALA can also affect the thyroid and make thyroid supplements less effective. I take a thyroid supplement for hypothyroid

Panicking after visit to Rheumy
I was diagnosed with PMR four years ago. Three months later GCA came along and I was topped up to 60 mgs of pred and referred to Rheumy. I managed to come down OK until I reached 4mgs nearly two years ago but couldn't get any lower without having a flare (only with PMR symptoms, not GCA). My GP was

Lipoic acid
Ibenmaor wrote that lipoic acid helps with fatigue. Is anyone taking it successfully for gait? Here is one of the articles (I've only seen it discussed in relation to SPMS): https://multiplesclerosisnewstoday.com/lipoic-acid-for-rrms
