Feeling like Chemo is too Hard
I was diagnosed 3B HG in August 2018, had surgery, frontline, first recurrence ( carbo and caelyx/doxil), 3 years of
Olaparib
, one year on nothing and now am having carboplatin alone for second recurrence. My oncologist said this would be relatively easy.

Olaparib hasn’t worked for me . Anyone had this happen and had success with another PARP?
This is just a year after 1st recurrence, Chemo reduced cancer to nearly NED, 7 months of
Olaparib
and then CT scan showed new tumour on spleen. CA125 36. Oncologist mentioned later trying another PARP possibly Rucaparib. Anyone had success when one didn’t work ?

Olaparib? Chemo? or both ?
Go for
Olaparib
alone 2. Go for Chemo alone 3. Go for both , i guess that would be Chemo followed by
Olaparib
We are not considering Lu-177 as of now as our MO has clearly stated that Lu-177 comes after Chemo , should we also be considering on this right now?

Rising CA125- confused !!
Great results after chemo, debulking op and 2 years on
Olaparib
. The last 5 months my CA125 has been rising the most recent being 742 . I've had 2 scans and no sign of cancer but I do have hernia and gall stones in my bile ducts.

Lynparza for bone/liver mets - success?
I will be switching from Enhertu (was on Enhertu for a year) to lynparza/
olaparib
. Has anyone had success with a parp helping get rid of bone/ liver metastasis for stage 4 breast cancer? Or keeping things stable? And if so, for how long? Thanks for any info and/or experiences.

Any ladies had cytoreductive surgery for recurrence?
From June started on

Olaparib
hasn’t worked for me! I’m BRAC2 it should have done!

Elevated ASTs/ ALTs on Lyparza/ Olaparib
Hello everyone, My dad started
Olaparib
/ Lynparza about 5 weeks ago for the BRCA2 mutation. He is tolerating it well without side effects thus far. Has anyone ever had elevated LFT's with this medication?

In the UK Olaparib only seems to be available for those testing positive for BRCA. Is this a cost issue that it is not widely available?
We insisted on a BRCA test which has come back negative but from what I understand
Olaparib
is only being made available to patients in the UK for those who test positive.

Lynparza/ Olaparib
Hi everyone- after my dad met with his oncologist regarding the mild progression he had- he will be switching to Lynparza/
Olaparib
for the BRCA2 gene. He was on Ibrance, Letrozole, and Lupron for 15/16 months started in June of 2022, but she feels it is time for a switch.

Coming off Olaparib
I'm in a bit of a tailspin as I may need to stop taking
Olaparib
due to breathlessness side effect. It's taken me back to all those worries about survival rates (I have Stage 4a ovarian cancer).

Caelyx and hair loss
I'm still asymptomatic thanks to
Olaparib
and Avastin. Just got my hair back, didn't came as it was before. this second time came much thinner. It might sound redundant as im facing serious illness: I really don't want to loose this hair.

can pleural effusion alone come back?
Have been NED since first line ended in June 22, and been on
olaparib
since. Day before, did a chest X-ray as part of my master checkup and it shows a slight blunt in the right lung (costoprenic angle), seems similar to the first time.

Abiraterone + Olaparib: ASCO GU 2024 Highlights: BRCAAway Trial
"Highlighting the trial's results, he notes the combination therapy significantly extended median radiographic progression-free survival to 39 months, far surpassing the outcomes with either treatment alone. Leukemia as a side effect of Olaparib
After 3 months I'll have a bone marrow biopsy to see if going off
olaparib
is really what caused it. I'm crushed. I may be approaching that tiny category of patient who gets AML as a side effect of my "life saving"
olaparib
. Is anyone else here with me? Or heard of anyone else who is?
