Day 7 scan. Sizes of follicles
Lining is good apparently and bloods showed
oestrogen
at 3200. They have me in tomorrow for another scan. Is it likely that all 5 will be big enough for collection? Or will the ones at 14 still be too small? Thanks ladies. Xxx

Test Results Help Please
I’ve had to gradually reduce my
oestrogen
hrt over the past couple of years as I find it seems to exacerbate brain fog if it’s above a low level. Over the past year or so my fatigue and brain fog have become debilitating, so I recently had some blood tests to rule out a thyroid problem.

CRPC & Transdermal Estrogen
New to PubMed, below [1]. British, but seemingly unrelated to the estradiol PATCH trial. "This study was carried out to determine the safety and effectiveness of transdermal estrogens in CRPC." {Although note the later use of DES.} This was a dose-escalation study. "A starting dose of 50 mcg/24 hours

Endo & mirena w/out estrogel?
Hi everyone, I’m new on here. I’ve had the mirena coil for a year due to very aggressive endo (strictures in ureters, ovaries stuck, bowel adhesions) but had to ask for estrogen gel supplementation as I was unable to sleep due to excessive night sweats (45 so prob perimenopause). The pain and night sweats

Northeristone mini pill
(I have recently come off combined pill because I can't take
Oestrogen
no more due to high blood pressure). I have usually have a regular flow period - will this make my periods heavier or will they stop? Also has anyone got acne from taking Northeristone? Has anyone gained weight?

Thin lining buddies!
Hello, I just wanted to update people as its been 7 months since my last update about my thin lining. Just a recap, I had my first cycle of IVF in March 2019. We got 7 embryos that all made it to blastocyst stage which we were so happy with. However we realised then that the lining was going to be

Will slow-growing follicles catch up?
Hi all, I have just embarked on my 2nd round of IVF. I have low amh (4) and endo stage 4. At my baseline scan I was told I had an AFC of 12, but today (day 4 of stims) I was told that my AFC is 8 and only 2 follicles look like they are growing as they should (2 were 9/10 mm and the rest below 6).

Dog... man's best friend
It is fascinating to me that our best friend, the dog, is the fellow-sufferer of PC that helped us learn how to treat the disease. Likewise fascinating is the post-dog work of Charles Huggins... this 1966 paper tells us we can potentially treat PC by removing testosterone, as we commonly do today...

Constant thin uterus lining and TShaped uterus
Hi. I’ve had constant issues with my lining and have had 2 ops to remove scarring. 6.7mm is the thickest it’s ever been. We have 2 frozen blastocysts waiting to be transferred (using donor eggs) but are in a catch 22. I’m on 3 estrogen patches, 6mg of progynova and aspirin...again! I’ve been reading

update on changed cancer
Lots of water under the bridge since I last posted. Had left breast removed because of wound that would not heal. Tissue sent for testing and came back Progesterone positive changed from estrogen positive. My young oncologist did not know how to treat this. Decided to wait until new scans. No meds

Started taking cyclogest too early
The problem is that we were
oestrogen
medication for 8 days instead of the recommended 10. I spoke to the NHS earlier and we can probably force the issue and continue with the cycle. I feel whilst this is outside their regular protocol it still might work.

FET and cervical screening (Smear Test ) advice
I called the clinic to ask about the smear as this can’t be done while taking the
oestrogen
as I take it vaginally. They said it is my choice to continue or stop and have the smear and start again.

Prolapse after decapeptyl?
I have read the lack of
oestrogen
affects your structure which can result in a prolapse. Mines is internally contained. Sex is excruciating. I’m 34 😞

Aromatase, estrogen, and how (and WHERE) they work?
I have fallen into the hormone-hole of trying to figure out the why, where and how of this disease... AND of its treatment. It has recently occurred to me that many (most?) of the problems that men experience on ADT are not actually directly from low-T, but they are from low-E (and that is a direct result

Hysterectomy and bilateral oophorectomy
He suggested retaining my ovaries to help with
oestrogen
levels and prevent side effects associated with the loss of this naturally. The original plan had been removal of all and high dose HRT. I suppose the main query I have is has anyone any experience of this?
