Advice on TSH levels
Hello, I have been preparing for a frozen embryo cycle over the last few weeks. This involves taking oestrogen every day to prepare my womb lining for a transfer. Prior to the cycle my TSH was slightly high for pregnancy at 2.5. The doctor advised that I increase my medication to 125mg per day/150mg

Testosterone deficiency
Hi all. Been a while since posting as nothing much has changed regarding unwanted symptoms. Doctors and Endo seem to have left it all with me. The only thing the Endo could tell me was that I needed more Oestrogen so he raised my HRT dose. I decided to get a blood test done to check my Testosterone

Still asymptomatic so on we go
Saw my oncologist this morning after usual blood tests. It seems that despite having a liver met and the fact that CA125 marker is up to over 300 while the Ca15-3 and CEA are both a bit down to the mid 200s she is satisfied that I am showing no symptoms of having cancer - so another 3 months on letrozole

Biotin
Hi all, I am wondering whether adding biotin to my diet would be good for my hair or not because my cancer is estrogen strongly positive. Could you please share your experience?

Zytiga side effects
Zytiga works by blocking mineralocorticoids, glucocorticoids, and Androgens and Estrogens. Prednisone makes up for the glucocorticoids but why is there no therapy given for the mineralocortoids which upsets the sodium and potassium balance. This leads to a condition called hypoaldosteronism which leads

Hi there, looking for some help. Got my first injection for IVF today (Wednesday) I have recently finished a 5 day course of Norethisterone to bring on a period as I had been overdue by quite a bit (unusual). My period started on Monday. Came away feeling happy as the process was finally underway.

Don’t diet, eat healthy- tips and tricks.
I’m not doctor or dietician but I’ve done a lot of my own research and I pay attention to what the experts say. Ive been successful in healthy eating so here’s some of the tricks and tips I learned that work. Serving size matters- It’s easy to eat to much and a lot of people don’t realize. Your stomach

Cycle update - clomid delay?
Mid way through my attempt at round 4 ivf and things are not looking good. A scan showed my follicles have barely grown. The clinic put me on 5 days of clomid symultaneous to the stimms, which I completed yesterday. Today a blood test showed my oestrogen is just starting to creep up, so because it is

Is menopause possible with normal FSH levels?
Happy new year everyone! I wonder if any of you could shed some light on the above. I’m 29 and have literally all the symptoms of perimenopause, like every single one. But I’ve had my hormones checked twice and everything came back normal apart from low oestrogen the first time (I find that so odd for

New -- a little over a year after surgery, 6 mos after radiation
I had robotic prostate cancer surgery a little over a year ago, with Gleason 9, seminal vesicle involvement on one side, negative nodes, negative mets workup, positive margins on one side. I had radiation to the prostate bed last April (2018), and have about another 6-8 mos of Eligard injections and

Hot flashes with hormone treatment -- a humorous poem about this!
I am currently getting Eligard injections, which cause hot flashes. For those who are also getting hot flashes, you will relate to this poem I wrote about them! A little humor helps soften the severity of what we all face. Prostate Cancer Flash by Marshall Wareham (copyright 2018) When prostate

Unfortunately 5 months later, it returned.... I then got diathermy/LEEP to remove the ectropions, and my doctor said to
