PET PSMA scan and low PSA and Lurpon
Will a PET PSMA scan still essentially function as well to find out where PC lesions exist if one's PSA is low say <1, because of Lupron? Lets say the PSA without Lupron might be a 10, (also no prostatectomy was ever performed.) My radiologist wants me to get the scan so I can then get set up for

Transdermal E2 Gel (tE2) As An Alternative To Lupron
Many of you have been asking if the tE2 gel that I've been using for four and a half years now will help eliminate hot flashes/flushes and the all too common side effects of Lupon injections? I thought that I answered those questions in my many trimonthly blood test results. When everything else failed

My Hair Grew Back!
On Lupron, and after 3 months, the hair on my head started to grow and fill in! Radiation Nurse says strange hair things happen now and then, like hair of a different color. He says it does not necessarily revert back. I am happy about the hair growth!

Pain in side
About five months after beginning Lupron, Zytiga, and Prednisone, I began having pain in my right side. I've been to my oncologist, GP, and a surgeon. All have run blood work, CT scan, MRI, bone scan, and Xrays. Thought it might be a hernia, but not. It can get pretty severe at times, but does come

Hey Lupron, where's my side effects?
Hello everyone, I got my first Lupron shot about 9 weeks back. When I saw my Onc at 7 weeks I told him that I could not clearly identify any side effects. He wasn't surprised, but I sure am! He did say that I would have noticed by then, but I'm wondering if the bomb has yet to drop

paxlovid and lupron
just tested positive Covid. My doc has raised some question about coronary issues interacting with the two drugs. She’s researching. Anybody have any anecdotal experience or better yet, real science. I’m on 6 month lupron, abiraterone 1000 mg and 5 mg prednisone.

Genetic testing recommendations
Just diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer (M1B) and have started ADT: lupron + darolutamide (more details in profile). Looking for recommendations to insure I have the best genetic information available. Tumor was submitted for Decipher testing which came back as low risk (0.24). Submitted

Brain metastasis treatment options?
Hi everyone, I’ve only written here once before about my dad’s (62) battle with prostate cancer (Stage 3, Gleason 9 at dx May 2019). Sadly we’ve had yet more bad news over these past two weeks. Last summer we learned that his cancer had spread to one isolated nodule on his lung (oligometastasis - very

Tough Questions
I have never actually asked the MO how long, because I know the answer. Every patient is different, it’s in Gods hands, hard to say with new treatments coming out…but I feel like it is time. My husband has been through hell since diagnosis 18 months ago (advanced metastatic PC). He has gone through

SOC options have run out, PSMA negative, declining health - what's next?
My husband was diagnosed with high grade prostate cancer in 4/06 Gleason 4+3=7 in 12/12 cores with 90 to 100% involvement of the tissue cores. His original clinical staging was T2c versus T3. PSA at that time was 6.4. -First treatment was brachytherapy and IMRT. Undetectable PSA never reached. -Recurrance

PSMA scan results
Am I crazy to think this is better news than we could expect? Husband is 53, diagnosed at 50 with Gleason 8, PSA 16, mets to 20+ enlarged lymph nodes in pelvis and possible 2 bone mets to iliac (lymph nodes and bone did not show up on bone scan or ct, only on mri, and the bone ones were very inconclusive

what side effects can I expect taking Zytiga?
I am about to begin treatment with Lupron and Zytiga. I pretty much understand the Lupron side effects but the doc wants me on Zytiga also because of bone involvement. Does anyone have any experience with this med? Thanks
