Looks like lutetium is next for me (if I can get it)
Finished 6 cycles of chemo with Carboplatin added. Scans show mixed results. mipsma 2. Dr. Kwon is suggesting lutetium to push the cancer off the edge of the cliff. He’s suggesting to have it sooner rather than later. I have low tumor load. And Mets to Lymph nodes in pelvic region and subclavical. My

Alternative to Zytiga/Abiraterone?
My husband Jeff is 62 and was dx in Oct/22 with PSA=12, Gleason 9 (4+5), cancer in all cores, with SVI and ECE, but thankfully, the PSMA pet didn’t show any spread to nodes or bones/organs. He started Lupron in Nov/22, Abiraterone in Dec/22, and will start 8 weeks of IGRT next week. Recent blood work

Is the a standard/preferred course of treatment for mixed ductal PC (post- RALP, post recurrence in prostate bed, post radiation)?
Gleason 8, 3 mos post-prostatectomy PSMA showed spot in prostate bed, just finished radiation of pelvic bed, in month 4 of Lupron (2 years planned). No evidence of spread outside prostate bed; recent psa was 0.4 Oncologist is a swell guy, but I don’t sense he has a great depth of experience with ductal

Chemotherapy again?
I completed 6 cycles of Docetaxel in March 22, I had a CT scan on 1-15-23 and on the 16th my MO requested pre-approval for docetaxel and was approved. I am currently on Lupron and Zometa and wondering if I am jumping to conclusions that there must have been something on my CT scan that prompted the request

Halfway through chemo, new scans, seeking advice
Have now completed 4 of 6 Docetaxel/Carboplatin treatments and went to Mayo in Rochester for PSMA Pet scan (Ga-68, see results below). My PSA remains undetectable (<0.05), which, given my historically low PSA, is probably not the Most reliable indicator but I assume means the Lupron and Nubeqa might

Xofigo experience and thoughts requested
My husband, age 68, has been approved for Xofigo. He has 7 detectable bone metastasis, but had not experienced pain as yet. Gleason 9, PSA is 17 and trending upward, after 8 years on Lupron post PR and one year on Xtandi. I'd be interested in hearing about the experience of those who've done the Xofigo

Looking for a Surgeon with Specific Skills
This is a long shot. I’m an Aussie. I had HD brachytherapy for prostate cancer in 2010. In 2016, I was diagnosed with Carcinoma in Situ in the bladder. I’ve had multiple rounds of BCG, and I’m now heading towards a radical cystectomy. My urologist is nervous about the risk of damage to the rectum

What to do next?
At the end of a Lupron break in June my PSA was 1.1 and CT scan showed a new lymph node. I was put on six months of Lupron starting with a month of Casodex. The Casodex brought my PSA down to 0.452. After three months the Lupron brought my PSA down to 0.286. Three months later today, my PSA has slightly

Calling all BAT-men ...
(... that's you, Russ!) I am about to begin BAT with a new MO (who works in MA and NH), and am looking for some input from forum members. My MO has an existing contact at Johns Hopkins that he's consulted, but is not (yet) in direct contact with anyone from Denmeade's group so far as I know. A little

Apalutamide (Erleada) Only Lasted 6-7 Months! What Next?
After being on Apalutamide, Lupron, & Xgeva, since April of 2022, & PSA drop from 7.3 (extensive bone mets.) & a drop to 0.1 (for 2 mons.), PSA rose to 0.6 over 3 mon. w/o lab work because doing so well. So, don't know exactly when it started to rise but the rate of increase is geometric! MO wanted

Looking for suggestion of clinical trials for mCRPC
I have had SBRT (2007), Chemotherapy (2010/2011), ADT using Casodex/Lupron/Zytiga (2012-Current). Interested in joining trials that involve PARP inihibitors, immunotherapy, or other new/novel therapies. Can any of you suggest trials currently accepting candidates. My PSA was undetectable (<0.01) for

Hot flashes and Lupron
Hi All - I'm looking for advice in a rather special case - I've been on Lupron for a bit over a year, and on Ariraterone for about 8 months. Last month, my MO pulled me from Abiraterone because my blood pressure was out of control, and tripling the ARB that I am taking really did not seem like a great

should I be worried?
looking for some insite as to what I should expect going forward given the state of my condition. Had prostatectomy in 2019. Gleason 4+3. PSA before operation was 3.4. Remained undetectable for 4 months, then rise to 1.9 over 4 months. PSMA scan detected one lymph node in pelvis. Went for 40 rounds

Docetaxel or not?
After 4 years of Active Surveillance my Gleason went to 7. I had a 6 month Lupron shot and Proton radiation 7 years ago. 39 treatments. After 6 years of nothing my PSA started to climb up to 1.98. Did an Axumin scan and found two mets in my lower left pelvic Lymph Node. Took a Lupron shot and got

My husband was diagnosed in Jan 2020 with stage 4 prostate cancer with bone metastasis. He is castrate-resistant. He is on Lupron every three months. Zytiga failed after about a year. He is now on his fourth chemo (cab) which the doctor thinks is not working. He mentioned four options that he thinks

Need to restage cancer
Due to being castration resistant and PSA rising while on Xtandi/Lupron, his MO says she needs scan(s) to restage his cancer. The problem is that my husband can't tolerate lying on his back for the duration and/or keep his arms raised above his head. He tried to have a PET scan last year but had to cut

How long after chemotherapy you return to your "normal" pre chemotherapy?
Between March and July 2022 I had six rounds of Docetaxel + Carboplatin and I dont seem to recover ,mainly fatigue. Can not bring myself to some decent level of energy. my pre treatment Karnofsky index was 90-100 , now it is 70-80 😕 I'm also doing Lupron shots and Nubeqa which of course contribute
