Back on ADT
Restarted ADT 3/15/23 with my Lupron shot followed quickly with Xtandi 160mg daily. My PSA peaked to 3.36 on 3/7/23 and then 4/3/23 1.65 5/1/23 .34 So hoping the trend continues downward. Not sure if a slow or quick drop is better on recurrence. My RO said, when asked, "lower is better". Its getting

Phase II 2020-0200 Clinical Trial
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed in May 2021 at 50 years old. PSA 426/Gleason 8. Had been on Abiraterone Acetate (AA) along with Lupron and Prednisone. My PSA dropped to 0.1 until recently I became castrate resistant. I was advised by my team at MD Anderson that my cancer was a strong variant type.

Breast tenderness and pain
I have swollen breasts (gynecomastia) and now I am having pains at my left breast. In December 2016, I was diagnosed of prostate Cancer. From the onset, I did chemo by Taxo drug for 6 cycles. At the same time I was still taking Xtandi 120 mg every day. My PSA dropped from 117 to 5. The side effects

What types of food to eat with Nubeqa, to help protect the liver or other organs?
Is it advisable to eat certain types of food with the Nubeqa, in order to reduce the chances of liver damage and/or blood cell problems like Neutropenia? If someone takes a couple tbsp of EVOO before drinking alcohol, it decreases liver toxicity and intoxication/drunkiness. Would something like this

Question treatment
I have mpc stage 4 and am on Lupron and Xtandi. My OC wants to start me on prolia. Should I have a bone density test first? If bone density is good, should I start prolia anyway.

Knee Surgery and Xtandi
Hello everyone, I am scheduled for Knee surgery soon because of an injury pre cancer. The surgeon and the anesthesiologist asked the question about taking Xtandi during surgery etc. My MO said to take it until the day before and then stop for like 2 weeks. Xtandi has driven my PSA to Undetectable

Hormonal therapy and Meningioma brain tomors
Back in 2016 I was diagnosed with stage 4A (regionally metastatic) Ductal Prostate Cancer. In addition to surgery and radiation I was on Lupron and Zytiga with prednisone for a couple of years, ending in late 2018. Luckily for me it looks like I was able to make it to remission. Unfortunately in 2019

another milestone
fifteen years ago today robotic surgery. Two years now on lupron PSA still undetectable. I feel very blessed to be feeling well. I do get some of the side effects but life is what it is so just deal with it the best you can. That’s how I feel. I don’t post much but I know there are some very smart people

BC Update with GP.
First I rang Macmillan and they thought it very odd my cancer had gone from high to low. So rang my consultants secretary and she was not there, the people in charge said they were not qualified to help. I saw my GP today and like myself had a letter with no details at the top, this matters because

Re: Taxotere chemo after post surgery IMRT
Has anyone received Taxotere chemotherapy after post surgery radiation? My son age 50 was diagnosed last summer with PC tertiary 5 pattern. First post surgery PSA was 20. PSMA pet showed some invasion to pelvic lymph nodes no where else. Put on Lupron , generic Zytiga and prednisone and given 6 weeks

Lupron and Xandi
With the hormone suppression you need to lift weights to offset the muscle loss. I have not had any brain fog, but I do tire easily and have lots of hot flashes.

Dreams, dreams, dreams
I have been receiving Lupron shots every three months and taking Xtandi daily for a little more than a year. This follows a RALP and 36 days of radiation, all parts of my doctors’ kitchen sink strategy. No doubt there is a lot going on in my body. One of the most persistent side effects, however,

My 5 Year Blood Test Results
Thanks to Professor Richard J. Wassersug PhD, I started applying estradiol gel (tE2) to lower my testosterone levels in an effort to suppress the proliferation of my PCa recurrence. It has been a miracle hormone for me with ONLY tiny boobs as a side effect, and I haven't seen a doctor in about 6 years

How critical is the 6 months for a Lupron Depot infusion?
I am scheduled for a 6 month Lupron infusion on Monday and my wife just tested positive for Covid-19. I presume I’ll be unwelcome at the Hospital. How critical is the timing?

idea?
husband has always reacted poorly/had weird side effects from drugs, to the point I read any new prescriptions. VA did genetic testing for reactions to 20 common drugs and I carry that with me to ask appointments. The loss of testosterone has definitely weakened him and the lupron brain fog is very real
