MIN-102 update: summer 2022
Hi everyone, I am persisting with the min-102 trial and yesterday had my 10th visit. Nothing particularly different about the visit: the usual 6 minute walking and balance trials, the annual MRI scan and echocardiogram and the questionnaires and meeting with a specialist. What I did learn is that Minoryx

Transplant waiting list imminent/Nintedanib feedback
Hi all, Been a while again since my last update. I was hoping to bring you definitive news on the transplant situation but we're not quite there yet as I've still to meet the team to discuss when to go on the transplant list and find out how long my window of opportunity might be. However, the good

What happens when you end tocilizumab
I have GCA and PMR , plus a few other conditions.. I am on Prednisolone, Azothioprine and tocilizumab . I am getting towards the end of the tocilizumab injections as the aim is to get to 7 mg Pred and I am about to reduce to 9 mgs. The tocilizumab has done wonders with unreadably low CRP and ESR of 3

Nintedanib offers new hope as transplant recommendation approaches
Hi all, It's been a fair while since I last updated - longer than I'd have liked - but in a way its a good thing as I actually have a fair bit to update on as a result... The additional heart tests involving tracers, a CT scan and an hour long MRI which really tested my lung capacity with one or two

Please join me in meeting with Congress to ask for Lung Cancer Research Funding
The most important thing you can do as a participant is share your experience with your representative in DC. You put a face on lung cancer which is the most powerful tool we have. You will be matched with other people from your state and the state leader will make the ask for the funding. First

Potassium’s use and Trigeminal Neuralgia Events
Hello this is my first time posting so be kind. I have MS and have been prescribed Klor-Con M20 potassium as a result of diarrhea. Now I am having Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) events sometimes 3-times per day and as you know if you have had them they hurt. I read somewhere that a person said to avoid bananas

Treatments and Surviving Cancer
I am a stage 3 lung cancer survivor that was diagnosed in August of 2018, so I have now been in remission for 3 1/2 years. When I first found out that I had cancer it was very scary because I thought that I was going to die, so I began depressed and sad. I had a lot of prayer warriors, family members

Wellness poster for my stay at hospital
I am due to have a stem cell transplant and have prepared myself for my stay at the hospital. It’s been suggested that I can decorate my room and can use posters to put on the wall. I wonder if anyone could suggest somewhere online that they would know of that I could find any reasonably priced posters

Hello friends! I'm using Google translate now. I hope you will understand. I have a question that I can not find an answer to online. It's about stem cell transplantation. If this were to happen at some point in the future, how precise/exact does a match need to be? My parents have different ethnic

Refusing Lung Transplant
A few weeks ago my wife's neurologist put her forward for consideration for lung transplant surgery. After consideration, my wife has declined as she feels it represents a great deal of change to her life, in which she is quite content. I go along with her wishes but wondered if this was a decision made
