Docetaxel and Nintedanib
I am just about to start on Docetaxel and
Nintedanib
and have been told that this will give me weeks or months more life. I understand that the side effects are quite severe and wondered if anyone else has been on these drugs and could tell me their experience. Thanks, Lorna

New kid on the block
My consultant has told me that not many options are open to me, oxygen to help my breathing and Perfenidone/
Nintedanib
to slow the progression, because of my age (76) a lung transplant is unlikely although I am a young 76. I see my consultant again next month.

Trial at the Christie
Hi, Since my last post about Immunotherapy a lot has happened, I was initially going to start on Docetaxel/
Nintedanib
tomorrow as the trial at the Christie was full. Then i had a call from them to say there was a place for me after all and i start the screening process on Thursday.

NINTEDANIB
Just found you all, what an amazing site. Been diagnosed with IPF but on taking breathing test not sick enough for above drug. Have to have readings of between 50% and 80%, I have 105% so will not prescribe under NHS. Anybody else self funding? I have to get sicker to avoid paying, plain crazy!

When a GP tells a patient: "Not To Fixate On Your Health" = This Happens

Nintedanib and Docetaxel
Consequently the decision is we will try
Nintedanib
and Docetaxel together. I know this is a fairly new combination drug and would like to know from anyone who has been on it recently. A few seem to have had it a while ago whilst it was presumably a trial drug combination.

Back on the chemo
Hello everyone, I was told today by my oncologist that there has been a change on my adrenal glands on my kidneys and she wants me to have more chemo with a tablet called
NINTEDANIB
combined with the chemo only I really don't like the sound of the side affects.

Wheel of Fortune Update
I've also read that the Scottish nhs has just given the go ahead for
Nintedanib
, an immunotherapy drug, to be used to treat some patients. I believe that NICE may follow suit in May.

Experiences of Nintedanib (Vargatef)
I am submitting an application on behalf of
Nintedanib
( Vargatef) to the SMC, (Scotland's equivalent of NICE) for the treatment of advanced NSCLC as a second line treatment in combination with Docetaxel following first line treatment with a platinum based therapy.

IPF research update - new developments in treatment
Recent studies into Acetylcysteine, Pirfenidone and
Nintedanib
have thrown up some interesting results, which may lead to changes in the way that some people are treated for IPF in future.
