Should I apply sick day rules following a foot operation?
I had an operation yesterday to remove osteophyte ring from around my big toe. I’m home now and it’s very painful despite taking the codeine 30mg they prescribed. My PMR is no different and I’m on 6mg prednisolone but am I supposed to apply sick day rules or do I only do that if PMR gets worse?

weaning off Fentanyl patches
I am on 25mcg Fentanyl patches for pain caused by a compression fracture on my T10 vertebrae due to radiation treatment for metastatic prostate cancer. I have been on painkillers for about 12 months now, beginning with morphine etc which caused intense constipation. I began about 9 months ago on 12 mcg

Stress--patience--tapering going well...
I've been reading the forum almost daily but haven't posted, so I thought I'd update. After getting down to 1 mg after four years, in the fall of 2023, I had to go back to 60 mg...mostly other health issues and not really a typical GCA flare. Now, after just three months, I am at 4mg, along with my weekly

Help! Prostate cancer spread to bladder.
Diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in 2017, confined to bones and lymph nodes. While I'm very much into magnesium, and like cherry juice, I've not tried this - but the 'Sleepy Girl Mocktail' made the New York Times today: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/17/well/live/sleepy-girl-mocktail-cherry-magnesium.html More from the Cleveland Clinic last November: https://health.clevelandclinic.org

Advice on where to get blood tests done privately
Hi all, I hope you can help with my query. I've always had issues with T4 but after a good few years of a boost on dessicated thyroid (Erfa) the weight is piling on again. My private doctor has recommended I get the following tested but I'm struggling to find a company that can test my fasting glucose

Leflunomide, Mycophenolate, Azathioprine instead of TCZ, that was the question
Thanks for your help in answering this question. It seems Leflunomide is the only real contender. So much so that my cynical self wonders if the other two are only there to give the illusion of choice! Any more info about your experience of Leflunomide is very welcome. Not rushing into anything, and
