my urogynaecologist has put me on 10 mg amitriptyline every night. I started it yesterday. I was staggering around for three hours. My left leg and foot were jumping with rls. I am also on 900 mg of gabapenguin and 20 mg of fluoxetine. I believe the fluoxetine and amitriptyline are making my rls much

Hello ladies! I am about to have a partial hysterectomy in december, i am already terrified, gutted, i am s...ing on myself with fear. My consultant told me I need to have a biopsy from my womb prior to surgery so he can know there is nothing dodgy there except a lot of fibroids he has already seen

incredibly lucky
I feel so incredibly lucky after reading some of your stories. I had a HA 5 yrs ago, was told that if someone has to have a HA they would want one like yours? It was explained to me that it was on the right side and very low down?? I stayed overnight in hospital and the first time I saw a consultant

ICD: Going under the bonnet again
My post-implantation journey had been going reasonably well until I noticed a tiny hard lump protruding just where the leads enter my subclavian vein. It was very small to begin with and appeared within a couple of weeks of surgery. I thought it was subcutaneous sutures and so left it be. I called it

Duopa anyone?
My husband's neurologist has recommended he get a Duopa pump. His C/L meds don't work as well anymore (lots of 'off time') so this is the next option. The pump is similar to a feeding tube and uses a daily cartridge to deliver C/L in gel form directly into his blood stream, thereby avoiding his stomach

"Run, definitely run"
Any Avatar fans out there might remember Sigourney Weaver saying this.More recently, the cancer nurse at my cli7nic appointment before my surgery used exactly the same words in the same tone of voice when I asked if I should continue to run or rest between then and the operation. She and the surgeon

Help please
I don't really have a question just a plea for help. My story is very complicated and to go through everything would be too much for you all to read. After appalling treatment through West Herts Trust. I was told after emergency surgery that I had stage 4 Endo and it was in my bowel. Ovary with an Endo

Hi all, I’m nearing 8 months post transplant. Up until last week, things were going really well. My kidney function was the best it had been a gfr of 64 and I was starting to feel a return to normal. I had a low wbc but transplant center wasn’t concerned. And then the SH*T hit the fan. I came down

Hi,I had wolff Parkinson white, suffered years of bad palpitations until I got offered an ablation, unfortunately the ablation wasnt straight forward due to my extra pathway being so close to my AV node, high risk of heart block, anyhow decided it takes the risk as I was told I'd be 5 x more likely to
