We have updated our page on COVID-19 vaccinations to include information about who will be eligible for the autumn 2023 boosters. This will be a wider group than those who were eligible for the spring boosters. Read more here: https://www.lupusuk.org.uk/covid19-vaccination/

Advice for Ongoing Condition?
Have been on the forum for a while, and has been a great help but asking for advice. About 2 years ago I had problems walking, was constantly tired and generally felt absolutely awful. I was forgetting names, and even falling off my bike when riding. Couldn't eat, couldn't sleep. Painful peripheral

Consulting on next steps
As I am 10 months PSA undetectable and clear on basic bone scans I have started the process of consultation re staying on ADT (zoladex) and Apalutamide continuously or moving to intermittent (and what would that involve) or getting more treatment (J591 for example aimed at micromets). Following consult

worried and anxious
My lung cancer growth is small and operable. I just feel so worried and anxious it’s spread. As well as the operation to remove the growth with lower lung they are going to take lymph node sampling. I wondered if this is usual and would love to hear from anyone who has had this done. I’m planning to

Have you been misdiagnosed? I might have been.
I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s approximately four years ago by two different neurologists. I noticed the first symptoms two years before that. So I am into my sixth year with Parkinson’s. I have managed to treat my symptoms through natural solutions, including: - An intense focus on finding a diet

🤖 ChatGPT on Cancer-Fighting Exercise💪 vs PCa
ChatGPT, the free AI research tool provided by OpenAI, is surprisingly good at summarizing some topic of interest that one might be interested in. I submitted a long question this evening on "
exercise against metastatic prostate cancer progression
". My goal is understanding exercise in an environment

Study: Stress affects the effectiveness of vaccines
Dr. Natalia Freund in her lab. Photo courtesy of Tel Aviv University While stress improves antibody production after Covid-19 vaccination by 70%, it significantly reduces antibody diversity to protect against variants. A significant link between behavioral stress and the effectiveness of vaccines

Afinitor +ESR1 mutation for the hive mind.
Hi I am starting Afinitor on Wednesday after a mixed scan a few weeks ago after 6 months on Orserdu. It suddenly dawned on me that Afinitor is combined with estrogen therapy, likely an AI. But doesn't the ESR1 mutation cause AI resistance? In which case does that make Afinitor less effective? I will

Post Rheumatology Appointment
Thank you to everyone who gave me advice for my Rheumatologist appointment yesterday......it was my first one and I thought I'd give an update on my experience at Benenden Hospital. I have posted this as a response in my original thread too but thought I'd start a new post to see if people found it useful

new MBC drug for PIK3CA mutation in Hr+HER- breast cancer survivors
On Nov 16, 2023, the FDA approved another drug for those who have developed the PIK3CA. Mutation after first line treatment for the HR+HER- type. It’s another drug in the same vein as PIQRAY which also has to be used with Fulvestrant. This one is from AstraZeneca but it seems to have all the same side

Does anyone have CtDna blood test added In their monitoring routine?
Hi! Kim 43 MBC since 3/2021. I do alot of reading of clinical trials and medical journals. I found this CtDna blood test that SUPPOSEDLY detects cancer cells in the blood up to 10 months sooner than a Petscan. My Oncologist didn't know about this testing so after fielding out all the companies that do
