Concerned
I was diagnosed by colonoscopy with diverticulitis in 2019 - and have had about one mild bout a year - treated with a 5 day course of augmentin (antibiotic). My last episode was almost 2 months ago and I have not recovered - extremely constipated - I feel like I'm going to GO and know I will feel so

Sleep help with Tinnitus
Hi All, I’ve had a spike in my T since I was involved in a car accident a couple of months ago. I am deaf also so I wear hearing aids in both ears. I cope pretty well during the day and the hearing aids definitely help but at night it’s another story. As soon as I take my hearing aids out the noise

Hemorrhoids from higher cholesterol
I thought I'd ask if this is common for other people. I suspect my Hemorrhoids have got quite bad as a result of slightly underactive thyroid. My cholesterol is mildly high - 5.7 when it should be below 5. Also I have gilberts syndrome which is high bilirubin. When I fasted or went more than 6 hrs without

Treating symptoms causes more issues.
So if I use a medication to fix a symptom, I can end up worse off. Recently I took mebeverine to slow motility as I pass a lot of bowel movements a day. It was to help with morning cramps. I just felt sore, constipated and couldn’t eat as normal after. So the mebeverine fixes one problem and causes

Bruising
I noticed someone mentioned bruising. I have hurt my right thump two weeks back cutting up veg. The whole of the thumb pad is dark mauve The pharmacist said it was a circulation problem and I bought a tube of Hirudoid cream 5 mg to put on 4 times a day. This is the first day. He knew I was on

what next?
I was diagnosed with PMR five years ago and my gp kept me on Prednisolone for two years which resulted in a catalogue of side effects including glaucoma and cataracts. My diagnosis was confirmed as RA shortly after. I have been taking methotrexate successfully since. However my condition has worsened

Curcumin Interactions with Abiraterone
Curcumin has so many good benefits that would help to cope with ADT side effects. Does Curcumin interefers with ADT (Lupron+Zytiga)? Does anyone taking Curcumin while on Hormone Therapy? Please, share the information. Thank you.

Tinnitus for six weeks for no reason
Hi, I've now had tinnitus for six weeks. It's very high pitched (like one of those sonic cat scarers) and sounds like it's in my head rather than in my ears. I've also had on and off daily headaches for nine weeks. Been to the docs and she doesn't care - said the headaches and tinnitus weren't related

Cold water therapy
Hi everyone, Generally painkillers don't cut through my pain and they give me many side effects, so I am looking into alternatives. I was reading some research about cold water therapy helping with fibromyalgia and other autoimmune pain. I was wondering if anyone tried it for Endo?

Duloxetine - cold turkey and afterwards?
One of my tasks in the New Year (after discussing with GP) was to decrease Duloxetine and possibly try something else as the hyperhidrosis side effects were becoming so problematical for me and, after working well for nigh-on 3 years they also now had reduced effectiveness at controlling my pain despite

I reside in the UK and was diagnosed with Afib in early October and had a mild heart attack, in hospital for five days and given flecainide (50mg twice daily), apixaban (5mg twice daily), statins (40mg once daily) Losartan 5mg (once daily). I have always been intolerant to a lot of medication and vaccinations

Spike
So my Christmas present was a spike in my Tinnitus. It seem to lower then spike again until New Year when the spike has remained. Its driving me nuts. I had made an appt with Audiology dept but to be honest what can they do? I find reading about Tinnitus & people's experience quite overwhelming.

Carnosine as potential initial PCa treatment
Researchers have discovered that a naturally-occurring molecule could potentially be an effective first line of treatment against prostate cancer. Nottingham Trent University (NTU) scientists investigated the anti-cancer properties of carnosine, which can be produced in the body and is also found

good morning I am a mum of 3 children and my daugher has the bladder/kidney issue. Also I also have the same as my daugher with the overactive bladder and kidney issues. Tinnitus louder than usual
I had inflammation in my right ear with headache, doctor gave me Otomize, but the headache was still there, went back to the doctor told me to see a pharmacist, they gave me nurofen, didn’t help, went back to the doctor again, they gave me antibiotics and codeine, this seemed to make my headaches worse

A lightbulb moment
I am currently taking 10mg immediate release Shortec Oxycodone at 6pm, 10pm and again when I need to during the early hours. I manage to get broken sleep which usually equates to 4 hours, which is better than I have had in the past. This works reasonably well, however, from early afternoon my arms
