Welcoming New Era of Expanded Use of Radiotherapies
Metastasis
-directed therapy in the form of stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR) may provide benefits beyond local control in both patients with hormone-sensitive and hormone-resistant prostate cancer, including longer BPFS and radiologic PFS.Radiotherapy, particularly SABR, should be considered

Is another MRI needed?
my husband had an nuclear medicine bone scan and CT on 1/27/22 which did not show
metastasis
in lymph nodes, only prostate cancer, on March 11/2022 we had the PSMA PET scan which did show the Mets to lymph nodes. He got an Eligard shot and Prolia shot 4/13 and started Zytiga on 4/21.

Sudy shows Stereotactic Radiotherapy safe for treating oligometastases
Among the 263 patients with a single
metastasis
treated with SABR, 214 (81%) had oligometastatic disease and 49 (19%) had oligoprogressive disease. The most common sites of SABR were lung (34%), non-spine bone (25%), spine (16%), lymph nodes (14%), liver (5%), and adrenal (3%).

broken bone healing while taking Fulvestrant?
i am wondering if anyone has broken a bone while in treatment and how did drugs effect the healing process? A month ago I was hit by a motorcycle crossing the street. Humerus arm bone was broken. A rod and screws were inserted. It is hard to be active with one arm so healing requires immense patience

PET results!
hi everyone! My dad was diagnosed with MBC in May of 2022 to bone. He is currently on Ibrance, letrozole, lupron, and xjeva. He just had his first pet scan after starting treatment and it shows that all of his previous lesions that lit up on the PET scan have resolved. (Primary breast tumor and bone

Updated trial fails to show any real benefit to metastasis-directed therapy (MDT) in oligometastatic patients
https://ascopubs.org/doi/full/10.1200/JCO.22.00644 After 52.5 months median follow-up, they report: • Progression-free survival (PFS) was 11.9 mo. for
metastasis
-directed therapy (MDT) vs. 5.9 mos. for observation.

Dipyridamole To Reduce Platelet Formation, inhibit Fibrin Coating
Has anyone taken the above with the hope of reducing/inhibiting
metastasis
, and tumor formation? This is an old drug used for at risk stroke and heart attack patients. It is also an anti-inflammatory (COX-2 path) .

Faslodex loading doses done, third set of shots today and tumor markers up.
Hi all! First, I want to thank everyone for their wonderful advice on starting Faslodex injections and getting through the fear of the unknown, and dealing with the shots. So far, so good, no pain and the shots seem to be easy. I had a rash on my behind after the second set of shots, but no rash today

One year into my ADT break, CT scan has shown disease progression in my lymph node
metastasis
. I was scheduled to have Lupron shot on July 6. Unfortunately, my wife tested positive for Covid 19 soon after our return from London. On the plane nobody, except us, was wearing mask.

One thing is apparent that my

Docetaxel didn't work, what's next?
Bone scan in 2019 did not show any skeletal
metastasis
. In January 2020, he was commenced on LUPRON with a plan to continue that for several years and consider consolidative local radiotherapy to the prostate and pelvis if he responded.
