Actemra problems.
My husband has been on Actemra for about two months and hasn't had any of the side affects that have been mentioned so far. However, he is ta king it because he has GCA and it was suggested it would help him get off some of the prednisone he is taking 25g when we started. He's down to 19g now but he

Complementary therapies?
I have just come to the end of the chemo radiation and seemingly I now wait about three months before having a PET scan and a fibroscopy to see how effective the treatment has been and what might be the next steps. Just for my own sense of well being I am thinking about trying some complementary therapies

Not impressed
Decided to go through my medical notes such as they are, and blood tests again now I'm more sensible again. All hospital consultations are missed off and consequently diagnoses. Oh, and there is a gp consultation noted that never took place. Basically my notes appear to be a mess. What really

Seeking Advice from fellow teachers and coping in the classroom
I teach computing to 16-19 yr olds. Are there any teacher or members who have a similar challenge that could share advice? I have mild hearing loss, with tinnitus 24/7 and hyperacusis. In the classroom, interaction is difficult. I have a lot of trouble focusing. Conversations with students are very

So I've suffered with Tinnitus (Pulsatile) since 2019. Although never formally diagnosed all specialists I have spoken with have pointed towards this. I am 38 currently 28 weeks pregnant (3rd child) and am now facing the dilemma of birthing options - natural delivery or C-section. Given that my tinnitus

Divver? IBS? Something more sinister?
Back again. Noticed after a few weeks that I was eating fairly normally - always very careful - and not really going to the bathroom as much as I should have. Small soft BMs, after feeling like a huge BM was coming. Also having either hemmerhoid or fissure, fistula issues, but my opening is very sore

cataracts, glaucoma and astigmatism
I was diagnosed with glaucoma last year and had laser surgery which didn’t work. I now have cataracts which are causing me blurred vision. On my last visit to the glaucoma hospital the ophthalmologist said “you have cataracts” but he didn’t say anything else about it or whether I needed to get them done

Constipation
I'm having a bad flare up . I was prescribed mebeverine, one of the side effects of that is constipation. I have IBS D , now I'm just constipated . I'd rather go than not go . It makes no sense that the medication has this side effect. I've stopped taking it as of today. Now I have to cancel my shift

Comments please on recent blood tests. Thank you very much
Hello everyone, I did some blood tests this week, and here are the readings. I' m on 75mcg thyroxine a day, and take supplements for B12, vitamin D&K2. I have been on T4 for about 3 years. I've been on higher doses of T4 (up to 150mcg) but it only lowered my TSH without making a significant difference
