Fibroscan score 19.5. Awaiting appointment with consultant
Last year I was diagnosed as diabetic. Last month I had liver function tests and as a result sent for fibroscan. I was told that the score was 19.5 and I was F4 - cirrhosis. My GP would not comment as not a specialist in this field but has arranged for a full range of blood tests, liver scan and

Serositis and Hypotension anyone?
Diagnosed with Adult Onset Stills Disease aged 17 in 1979 now 61. Stills manifests as RD for me with many overlaps with RA and Lupus. I have other AI conditions such as Lichen Sclerosis and Enthetitus. Amazingly I’ve been mainly medication free since my mid 20s relying on pain relief and limb splints

Discontinuing hydroxychloroquine (or not)
I have fairly mild SLE and have stopped hydroxychloroquine because of some unrelated retinal damage caused by sepsis. I find I am tired all the time, more sun sensitive than ever, and frequently get oral ulcers. I'm not sure whether to risk more eye damage by returning to hydroxychloroquine or to risk

Clogged ears
I developed whooshing pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear a few years back. It's very loud. When I perform The Valsalva maneuver or rub my ear it feels clogged and doesn't seem to resolve itself. It just doesn't feel right. Does anyone experience anything similar and whether this can be related to the

Sod's Law. Due for colonoscopy this morning, so spent the last 3 days on a white diet, no alcohol, yesterday went through the Moviprep routine to empty bowels, spent all evening on and off toilet, most unpleasant. Got up at 2am this morning for toilet, and guess what, of course, AF suddenly kicked in

Celiac testing and Obinutuzumab
So I am getting tested for celiac disease. I've known I had issues with gluten for years, and my grandma had it, but it never got that bad. Now I've had diarrhea for months and am losing weight - so it seems sensible to get it checked out. But I'm on V & O, completed the O infusions in July (about

Wrist and hand operation.
Hi again lovely helpful people. I am due to have a wrist and knuckle replacements (MCPJ silastic replacement) and intrinsic releases (tendons I think). It’s a big deal and not without risks I’m very worried. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar operation? Thank you 🙏

Dry eyes and mouth
Is sea buckthorn oil capsules good for sjogrens syndrome? I had this diagnosis yrs ago and I know there is a correlation between sjogrens and hashimotos which I also have. Tried lots of eye lubricants (Prescriotion and OTC ) and oral sprays over the years but nothing has helped. Think I may have heard
