Crosstalk between the neuroendocrine system and bone homeostasis
Immensely frustrating that the abstract is so sparse and that is all we can access. At present, I simply hope we can get away from the extremely simplistic view that low TSH, in itself, causes bone problems. But all we can really see is that it is complicated.

Hi I've had ibs c for so so long. Over the years I've learnt what does and doesn't suit me with my diet. I'm now mainly ok in comparison but also as I've got older I get bouts of diarrhea which I know are from eating foods that don't agree with me. I had a fair amount of cream cake over Christmas I'm

Aspartame
Hi what is the current advice on use of aspartame particularly for liver sufferers. Since my diagnosis I've tried to cut out a lot of sugar in my diet and I've been consuming a lot of diet stuff. I use sweetner in my coffee and half and half on my cereals. I also consume a lot of diet drinks - Fanta

Lactose intolerant
I am changing from Armour Thyroid to synthetic T4 and T3, due to cost and that a local Endo has agreed to this on the NHS. However I’m super sensitive to lactose and the hospital pharmacy are dithering about finding lactose free options. Does anyone know which brands are lactose free please?

Hi, first time poster. My son started school in September (Reception) and wasn’t potty trained at that point - we had tried numerous time - absolutely not interested. We cracked the potty training in the October half term and he went back to school in pants - there was the occasional wee accident

Unaware of own self
My pop, in a resthome, now seems very unaware of his own self. Biggest indicator is when he is put on the toilet seat by resthome staff which is a big event in itself. Once hes on, he is not aware and is still 'holding it in' so to speak. If we are there visiting, he will say something like "am

me and my family n friends read in the news today about the sugar fee and diet drinks and aspartame sweetener being soo dangerous and cancer risk. some agreed it is a big issue whilst others say it’s always been known but only just been in the news / certified today. and some of them say they’ll stop

I’m really anxious about my appointment
I had my HBA1C this week and had the results back and it came back as 98. I started taking mirtazapine after my last test. I feel absolutely fine and have never been in hospital because of my diabetes I also have high cholesterol. Will they just change my medication or up my dose or will they tell me

Nutrition supplements
I was given some nutritional supplements by the dietitian-complan shakes and aymes shakes- to try on top of my usual meals and see if I tolerate them, with the aim of gaining some weight. I'm not lactose intolerant so I should be ok. But I'm just terrified they are going to give me horrible symptoms.

Are statins essential if you are suffering from AF and/or past strokes? And how much is 'good'?
Just seeking some views on what constitutes the 'correct' level of statins to take in various situations. I have been taking 10 mg of simvastatine for six months and found this is no problem for me and it has marginally reduced what was a very low LDL cholesterol level in the first place. But my doctor
